Skyrim
I guess it could be hard on higher difficulties. I haven't changed it from whatever the default was, and there have still been a couple of places where I've had to retry a fight a couple of times to figure out how to do it (usually the answer is to summon a dremora and then eat popcorn and watch it), and the wiki says that on the highest difficulty you do four times less damage and take three times less damage. That essentially makes every fight twelve times harder, even assuming there aren't changes to AI, NPC leveling, and stuff like that, which there probably are. Then it would be hard. I'm pretty much breezing through most of my fights with a combination of OHKing with my dagger when possible and chugging health potions in combat when it's not, but I don't think I could do that if I were doing a quarter the damage I am now. The Blade of Woe wouldn't OHK crap, for one thing. That would make a lot of these fights more difficult. I can kill a Bandit Plunderer in a head-on fight, but it's certainly harder than stabbing him in the throat, and I would have trouble keeping up my supply of health potions in long dungeons.
I finished the Dark Brotherhood questline today. The 'Dark Brotherhood Forever' quest that stays open forever and lets you kill an infinite number of people offends my OCD, though. I was looking forward to someday being able to look at my quest screen and see that everything was completed, and now I can't. The Thieves Guild gives you an infinite number of quests, too, but you have to ask for them. I like that system much better. That's the questline I'm working through now. Once that's done I'll probably work on some of the random ones, but I also haven't made it to the College of Winterhold yet, so that might be interesting. I'm still using Novice-level spells as my primary weapon, so I probably need to upgrade at some point.

Re: Skyrim
i kinda liked the college's questline. I'd also suggest visiting the arcaneum for a few additional quests.
Re: Skyrim
I'm now a high enough level that I'm meeting Draugr Deathlords, and hoo boy is that ever a party. One part of Snow Veil Sanctum with two Deathlords in the same room was the first place in Skyrim where I've had to sprint through to the next area instead of killing the enemies. Once I engaged the first one, another one (or maybe two? Hard to say) and several Draugr Scourges and Restless Draugr would run over from elsewhere in the dungeon and roflstomp me. They were OHKing my Dremoras. I tried several times, and I really have no idea how I'm supposed to clear that section. I'll try coming back in another few dozen levels, I suppose, and see if I can take them then. Luckily I was able to sneak past the first two and sprint through the rest of the dungeon until I could hide and wait for Mercer to catch up (his invincibility is handy but not enough to kill a Deathlord). A good crawl through a zombie-infested dungeon is OK, but what I really want to do is have fun sneaking around stabbing people with my Blade of Woe, and I'd been hoping the Thieves Guild questline would give me more opportunity to do that. Dwemer dungeons are even worse, though, and I think that's next. I need to spend a while clearing bandit camps or something instead of dungeon crawling.

Re: Skyrim
Use lots of runes and potions. Also, spam Dremora thralls from an unreachable position for lols.
And dwemer ruins are awful, they have all sorts of annoying nooks where spider bots and centurions hide to jump scare you.
And charus(sp?). They are the bane of my existence.

Re: Skyrim
Try and play that last main story ruin in which at level 79/80. Draugr Deathlords everywhere, every single one. Truly an epic battle with the right equipment, and a real challenge on expert or master.

Don't tell anybody, but to this day I have a faint hope for Futurecraft, or something similar to it, to happen. Within my lifetime.

Re: Skyrim
I did a level 40 or 60 or something dungeon at level 12 once. Draugr deathlords and scourges and whatever everywhere, and a dragon priest as the final boss. Got some nice ebony stuff for Lydia though, as well as a dragon priest mask and staff, and the feeling of doing a level 40 or 60 dungeon at level 12, so I'd say totally worth it.

OHK'd a giant today with my Blade of Woe. I really like that knife. It's pretty OP, but still awesome.

Turns out Skyrim accumulated about three and a half gigabytes of save files in the last slightly less than a month. That's pretty impressive.

Re: Skyrim
So I was clearing out Wolfskull Cave for the dude in Solitude, and I get to the part where you look out over the necromancer fort thing, right? And @#$% is absolutely going down in there. Magic flying all over the place. I think one of the necromancers managed to aggo the Draugr Deathlord Archer. I just sat back and watched for, like, five minutes, listening to the Dragon Shouts and ice spells and crap. I went though once it cooled down and only had to kill two draugr in the entire place. I counted eight separate Ash Piles that I think were draugr the necromancers killed, and maybe a dozen necromancers the draugr killed.
