Why does a university have roman ruins?
Well, Bath is in the formerly roman-occupied part of Britain, so it is possible they have some Roman ruins at least nearby.
And you only have 20km to Bristol, which may count as a plus for that university, too.
Bath is called Bath because it is the site of one of the most complete Roman bathhouse complexes in the world. There are natural hot springs there, and the Romans designed their baths around them and the Temple of Sulis Minerva. The baths are still functional--the springs are still there, so there's still water flowing. They're a major tourist attraction. There are some other Roman structures as well, and an abbey dating to AD 675. The entire city is a World Heritage Site.
Can we not? Please, just once? I don't want any of this crap. I moved this here so Iv's thread could remain on topic. I request that you show my thread the same courtesy.

Back on topic when I visited Bath it was qute a nice place, very different to Bridtol which is a bit of a shithole. Didn't see any of the Roman stuff but I heard about it
