Socialism is kinda the inverse of conservativeism, from this end. Conservatives want the government to govern as little as it can, socialists are the other way around.

At least, from my perspective.

You're confusing Conservatives with Paleoliberals/Libertarians. And, while they're pretty much synonymous in the US, Conservative doesn't mean anything like that.

Per definition, 'conservative' means trying to have things stay the way they are/ return them to how they used to be.

Well, the "Austrian People's Party"(ÖVP) is capitalist, the "Freedom Party of Austria"(FPÖ) is nationalist and no one knows what the pirate party is about.

Pirate party is probably anarcho-capitalist or just full retard. The last political party I liked were the Carlists, other than that everyone seems horrible.
