shane pulled out his LMG and sprinted after Jake, and through the hole in the wall.

Derrick activated the ship's intercom. "We're facing heavy resistance down there. All mech and tank pilots are to report to the assault room stat! Every one! Be ready to drop as soon as the AA is down!" He deactivated it and monitored the ground again. More fluctuations on DRADIS... and this one was big. Very big. Only something... no...

He redirected the scanners and picked the readings up again. It confirmed it. There was a frigate headed their way. It was probably mainly a mining or transport, but it wasn't good. He connected to Smoke.

"Smoke, there appears to be a frigate 30 clicks from your position closing in. Appears to be a transport, but given the Strigiforme, it's likely armed. Jack has one of the few weapons capable of destroying it. I will use the orbital railgun if necessary, but I'd rather avoid it." He switched it off. He then turned around as Markus walked in. "Nice of you to join the party."

"I was sick, in a way," Markus replied. "They already dropped?"

"Indeed. And there's a frigate on their way, and the droid? Already a casualty." He primed another drop pod. And this one was connected to the bridge. "To your left is a pod. I'm going to drop you right on top of an AA tower, and you're going to reprogram it. Make Strigiforme targets hostile. You got me? Shouldn't be too difficult."

"Roger." Markus turned towards the pod and paused. "And how will they know it's a friendly turret?"

"Automatic IFF system. They'll see it. And i'm monitoring everything." He turned back to the screens. "Now go!"

Jack after reaching the hole turned back to count who made it.
"Jake, Shane, Random, Ian, wait where's Smoke!?"
He peeked out from behind his cover to see Smoke carrying Aleece toward the hole taking heavy fire.
"Dam it Smoke! Ian with me." Ian ran up to him.
"What?"
"We are going to help Smoke to safety ok? The rest of you provide covering fire! On the count of 3. 3. 2. 1, Go!" Jack said as he charged out toward Smoke.

Thomas was slowly but steadily working his way toward the nearest AA tower. Suddenly, an owl jumped out in front of him while he was reloading. It shot him in the shoulder, but his armor held. Thomas then fired his wrist-mounted focused-radiation emitter. He said into his communicator, "Anyone want fried owl?"

[Error]

The pod slammed into the tower, door blasting off. Markus jumped out, and swept the room, stunner in hand. Seeing no one, he pried the panel off the contol unit and plugged in his datapad, and started tapping away at the screen. Several seconds later, the insistent voice of his skills overrode the automatic safeguards and the AA tower perked up and began selecting a target.

....frak. I wasn't paying attention. Well, he's sprinting for it, then, I guess.

OOC: Cats, Markus wasn't on the initial drop. He was in the sickbay. Since the Reverie moved a bit since the drop, Derrick decided to drop him onto the tower itself to save time, and since he could hack it and seal the room, he would be relatively safe and would hold off the frigate until the rest of the team arrived.

Shane turned around when he heard Jake. Smoke was running for the opening holding Aleece...
Shane followed Jack outside to provide them with cover fire as they brought Aleece into the gap in the wall, asking questions as they ran. "What the hell happened to Aleece? Will we be able to fix her up right now, or are we going to have to leave her?"

OOC: Aleece is in Thomas's drop pod. Marcus landed on the second tower, the gunship crashed into the first, creating the hole that we will use to enter.

OOC: So I'm hangin' out in the tower, seeing what other computer-related hell I can bring to bear ont he owls.

Markus tapped his radio unit. "Smoke, this is Korriman. I hear your robot has a small problem. Can you get it to my present location?" He pinged his IFF/ID unit, giving smoke a reference point.

Smoke glanced out, above the small boulder she was using for cover, at the second AA tower, where Marcus had apparently dropped.

"Aleece?" Jack asked over teamcom.

"Down and out, I think for good unless we can get Marc to the DZ." She replied.

"Smoke, this is Korriman. I hear your robot has a small problem. Can you get it to my present location?"

Smoke brought up her map, a new symbol appeared, Korriman somewhere in the second AA tower. She remotely activated the dormant droid's IFF and sent the location data to Marcus.

"Might not be able to get her to you, but I think I can get you out of the tower."

"Yeah... I think that might be... preferable." Marc said in between the futile attempts an owl was making with a battering ram against a reinforced door.

"Shadow, you have command over designated squad... Alpha." She moved most of the soldiers into Alpha squad, save herself, Sonny, Marcus, and Aleece. "Take the first tower. I'll fight my way to Marc in the second. Reyvel, cover me."

She increased the pressure in her left leg's pneumatics for a proper launch and sprang out from behind the boulder. There was the sound of an explosion and three enormous ripping sounds as the second turret fired multi-ton projectiles into the planet's atmosphere.

"Ok. So we need to take this tower the controls are two floors up any thing else? No? Good, lets go." Jack said as he climbed the stairs and encountered a squad of 10 Owls and Human Mercs." Take cover!Ian do your thing!"
"Yes sir." He said with a smile. He stood up bullets simply bouncing off his armor as he started spinning up his Mina X-5*.

Derrick had managed to hack into the installation, through Markus' inlet, and was currently overriding all systems. Ground cameras were first to fall. He scanned each until he found several monitoring the second AA tower. Several owls were attempting to enter it, though their attempts were useless against the door with their makeshift battering ram. He acquired the AA tower's data. Markus had successfully switched it, and it was targeting the frigate that incoming. Excellent, it would hold it off.

He switched back into the station's mainframe and overloaded several security systems, bringing attention elsewhere to the lower levels while he pried into the remaining AA towers.
