Shane got up and walked back to his room. sabotaging was something he was extremely experienced in by now. He smiled widely as he pulled a few blocks of C4 from his pack next to his bed. He spent the next few minutes configuring the settings and running some simulations with the C4 on his holopad before lying down to take a nap. He woke up an hour later and took a look at a map of the ship. There appeared to be shooting range near his room. He glanced back and forth between his LMG and his automatic pistol. He chose the automatic pistol, which was what he usually used when faced with infantry. Besides, he wouldnt want to walk all the way down there to find out that LMGs were too big of guns to be allowed on the shooting range. He grabbed the automatic pistol from his dresser and placed it in it's holster on his belt.

He was slightly disappointed to find that it was a VR shooting range. His gun was scanned on the way in and replicated in a virtual reality setup where he could choose from a variety of missions, or a normal shooting range. This meant that the LMG was probably allowed. No matter. He was a bit rusty with his aim with the pistol anyway and could use practice. He selected the normal firing range and began shooting.

Thomas stood up and went to his room. When he got there, he started inspecting and cleaning his gear. He also pulled up imformation on Strigiforme anatomy and psychology. He decided that if he didn't have to shoot to kill, he'd aim for the wings. He stowed his gear and pulled out a book. When he had been in the Comfederation Shock Troopers, he had always read before an operation. It helped him relax and focus.

Arriving at the armory, Aleece scanned the room. 79 unique firearms and 1.2 million cartridge rounds. The droid stood just to the left of the doorway, sifting through the list of weapons. Deciding on a pair of duel 13mm pistols as well as an old favorite - the G34-P, a weapon devised by Hexalan Sciences. She took one from a small rack of three, and moved over to the minifabricator. There she constructed some custom attachments, an integrated scope and HUD uplink to all 3 of the guns, and other trivial equipment that was standard issue back in the Orion Battalion marines, also nicknamed the "Delta Marines" due to their service in the famous Delta Fleet. Finishing the slight upgrades, she placed the pistols in the 3 handgun holster in her right thigh and the rifle on the conforming rifle holster in her back. She then began sharpening her wrist blades, now too dull to do any real good. After that she would sharpen the longsword held in her conforming blade holster, a slight bulge that runs vertically from her shoulder to just above her pelvis.

Johanna waited at the table as people filed out of the room. Jack paused to speak to her.

"Smoke do you mind if I put a personal message on the mining towns?" He said.

"Shadow. How do you mean? Hold on..." Smoke pushed Jack aside when one of the new recruits walked up.

"I've some decent piloting skill, but I'm never too proud to learn more. where can I find this master you speak of?"

"Unless you're talking about mech piloting you want the Professor." She said, pointing to Derrick and turning her attention back to Jack.

"Sorry, Jack. What was it?"

"I want to put a message on one of the mining towns. For...Reasons." Jack fixed her with a stare. Lowering his voice he said. "You know for my brother."

many kills later, shane exited the firing range with his weapon and headed back toward his room. he hadbought a little something on the station that he was extremely eager to try out. he placed two devices, similar to contact lenses, on his eyes. these devices would be constantly scanning the area surrounding them, showing shane things like how many bullets were left in a magazine or when he had to reload. in an hour or so, after it had become familiar with his thoughts, he would be able to activate features like night vision or infrared with his thoughts. he'd probably be able to zoom in as well. he hadnt read all of its uses. he bought it as soon as he saw that it was compatable with the simulation app on his holopad which would help him a ton when he had to adjust the settings on an explosive device such as c4, during a mission.

"I understand. I'll make sure someone puts a broadcaster out with whatever message you want. I'm going down to the assault room for a few shots a little later. Real weapons and ammo, not the VR stuff upstairs. there're a few spots between mechs and tanks where you can see clear through all 200 meters. I Set up some targets last time I was on here. If you want in, meet me in the range, I'm going to check out the recruits' scores, see if I can let any of them come down, too."

Markus sat in his quarters, typing away at a console. Attempting to hack into the ship's most secure data storage area, as it happened.
Though, of course, no-one realized yet.

Derrick, back in his lab, received an unauthorized access alert. Someone had pried open into his database for the portable Fusion-Coil Splicer and obtained weapon data and schematics. He sighed and traced the signal. Markus' quarters. It was safe to assume it was him. He overrode the system's security system and directly relayed a message to him.

"Found the highly-experimental highly-prototype weapon I see," Derrick said to Markus through the intercom, who seemed bewildered. "I suppose I shouldn't hold you back. Meet me at my lab and we'll discuss further." He shut off the signal and began extracting the frozen fusion core from the receptacle, placing it in a power receptacle to use in the device.

He pretty much has full system control and access through his tampering and modifications. He also has numerous monitoring programs on all of the files he has connected to the network. If it is accessed, he'll know. He also has monitoring programs on a lot of his technology, mainly for protection. He can self destruct it from afar if it falls into enemy hands, or teleport it back to him, or disable it. He keeps tabs on his inventions and projects. They won't fall into the wrong hands.

Smoke ran through the list of recruits that had entered the VR shooting range.

Name: Shane
Weapon: MG-XC-124 Pistol (modified)
Range: 100m
Lethal Hits: 13
Nonlethal Hits: 24
Misses:28

Name: Sonny Reyvel
Weapon: LR-S-14 Heavy Antipersonnel Rifle
Range: 625m
Lethal Hits: 11
Nonlethal Hits: 8
Misses: 1

Not bad, looked like at least one of the greens knew their way around a rifle.

<<MESSAGE TO: Lightspeed>
I see you've logged some time on the range, you're pretty good. If you want to fire some real rounds, meet me in the assault room in a half hour. I'll set up some targets for you.
<MESSAGE END>>

<<MESSAGE TO: Professor Derrick>
You have any idea where the new robot is? I'm going down to the assault room for some target practice and I'd like it to go, but I need to talk to it in person first.
<MESSAGE END>>
