completely totally utterly bored, shane pulled out his automatic pistol equipped with a laser sight, 2x scope, an extended barrel and extended magazine. an expensive weapon. he observed it. he detatched and reattached all of the accessories on the weapon. when he was done he put the gun back in its holster and drummed his fingers on the desk.

Re: Corsair's Reverie
The FSCC, standing in the only dark corner of the mostly lit room removed the face plate of the stealth camouflage armor, it was the only complete set she had left. The color of her eyes switched along with the configuration from infrared, to nightvision, to regular. It was impossible for her to have said anything as her short-range vocoder had been damaged during transport, although, nothing that wouldn't be too hard to fix, not that she'd prefer it fixed.

>>Private Message To Smoke<<
Come on if your gonna brief us. These rookies and me aren't going to wait forever Smoke.
>>Private Message End<<
Jack looked around, several bored rookies, Markus on a datapad, and a Drone standing in a dark corner of the room.
"Does anyone here know why they're is a Drone standing there?" Jack said pointing to where the Drone was standing.

Aleece opened a zipper pouch on her left thigh plate, pulled out a data pad, opened her file, and tossed it to the only person who seemed to have noticed her.

Jack read the datapad with interest.
"Hmm...Well Welcome to the team! I'm Sgt. Jack Shadow but ah one question can you speak at all?"

She nods, at the same time, Jack got a text only message on his data pad reading "Just radio and long-range, the short-range speaker on my jaw's busted."

Re: Corsair's Reverie
Jake entered the briefing room, with a slightly worried look on his face.
He was relieved when he noticed the briefing hadn't started yet.
"Phew, I was worried I was gonna be late." he said as he found a chair.
"So anyone knows when the briefing's supposed to start?"

"Do you want that fixed at all? Oh hi Jake and no I don't."
Jack said as he sent a message to his AI to start up the workshop.

Re: Corsair's Reverie
Smoke read the report as she and Derrick walked down a corridor on the way to the briefing room. A dark assault on a few mining facilities, the only problem was that it was pretty deep in Strigiforme territory. They arrived at the briefing room, Smoke stood with her hands flat on the table as she finished reading.
"Okay, everybody here?"
A murmur swept through those that were there.
"Good. Now, this mission isn't an easy one. As I'm sure most of you know, Strigiforme has recently... undergone some cleansing in its population and increased nationalism. This didn't go very well with a few of those that were exiled. Some very wealthy excommunicated individuals were forced to cease trading and give up their properties within owlish territory. They've decided to get some revenge in the form of the crippling of their production lines." Johanna activated the holopad in the center of the table and brought up a map of a small planetoid, then zoomed in on five large, widespread facilities. "Each of these mining towns produces a huge amount of material for use in the Strigiforme military. Our friendly employers have paid a large sum of money to have us take out three of them. Our battlegroup, this ship, rather, was chosen because it's small enough to be stealthed cheaply, slip in under the owl's sensors, but large enough to deliver a payload of..." She waved her hand around the room, "You. Now, the facilities have several layers of heavy shield encasing them, it can withstand a substantial orbital bombardment. I'd say that they're putting too much faith in the shield's security, so their ground enforcement is probably sub-standard. However, we'll be dealing with a bunch of crazed nationalists, so we'll have to handle this like a jihad. They won't stop trying to kill us, so don't hold back. Any questions?"
There was no answer from the group.
She stepped back and allowed Derrick to speak "Good. I'm the Reverie's CO, technically under Smoke, I control the ship and crew, she controls all of you crawlers. I know that a few of you are relatively green, and we have a pretty long trip to this planet. If any of you are pilots, talk to me for training. We have plenty of sims onboard, I can give instruction for those that want it. Smoke has mastered everyhing that deals with ground. Mechs, tanks, tactics, and infantry, she knows where everything is and how to use it. You're free to roam the ship wherever and whenever you like, so long as it complies with your COs' orders. Try not to tick off the permanent ship crew, they're risking the same amount of life you are and they know how to shut off your room's life support."
He paused, allowing for any questions. There were none. He looked at Johanna. "Dismissed." She said.

"Smoke do you mind if I put a personal message on the mining towns?" He said as he looked at her with intense look.

Aleece replaced the face plate and played around with vision settings a bit until she decided on infrared, then walked out of the room down to the armory to see what she had available.

Markus stood and walked over to the commander. "I've some decent piloting skill, but I'm never too proud to learn more. where can I find this master you speak of?" He grinned.
