My question:


Can someone tell me good RTS games in space? [Sorta like Sins of Solar Empire] or stuff like that.

SoASE, Star Ruler, Homeworld 1, Homeworld 2, any of those should do.

What about me?
Well moving on, does it have to be space oriented? Because I know a lot of other great RTS games that aren't space oriented.

You might want to check out Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty. It's not space oriented, persay, but it's really enjoyable.

Well there is simply not a lot of them so your choice is quite limited to those titles. Also Im quite sure LS heard of SC already , hard not to :tongue: . Always believed it was overrated though ...

Honestly, last I checked Star Ruler had a GUI that gave you aneurysms and gameplay that would make a sloth yawn in boredom. Kinda like KSP, only this one didn't take off.

I'd kill for a TBS with decent graphics, real time planetary and stellar combat. Legends of Pegasus was made by some of the people behind SOASE and was slated to have that, but also is evidently full of bugs and not worth the price they're asking.

Though if you do like Star Ruler, might want to look into Stardrive. Same basic concepts but a lot more polished.

IMO you're going to have a hard time finding one that's better than SoaSE.

Homeworld 2 has ingeniously made backgrounds.

And yes, this is how I judge the quality of games.

In fact it is one of the worst in space RTSs :tongue: , see to stretch that tinny image all over the game map just won't look too good, and also the fact there's only 3 doesn't help at all. At this scale you can't really tell what is there on the background and overall it just looks bad.

Have you even played Homeworld 2? During play, the background look amazing and there is much more than only 3.

Yes I played Homeworld 2 and I wasn't impressed by the backgrounds, although there are more they repeat a similar pattern.
