Metals and Minerals-You suggest
So,my idea is that,when roleplayers search for minerals on asteroids ,they conceive about a mineral,and then just mine it up and name it,in this topic you can share your ideas about minerals,or we can even create a mining system for the roleplay.
Sorry for any bad formulation,because i suck at making topics

Re: Metals and Minerals-You suggest
As far as I know, we have;
-ALL the elements on the periodic table (Yttrium, Titanium, Iron)
-Phazon (NeoRome seems to use it, but it may be a fantastic explanation- No other empire have reported it)
-Eezo (Again, Darkstar seems to use it, though it may be a fantastic explanation, as no other empires have reported it)
Personally, I think just the periodic table is good enough. Or Anti/Dark matter.
And we usually don't go into this level of detail.

Also psionically infused crystals (most powerful is beryl), tough they seem to mainly appear in the EE and might have been the result of enourmous ammounts of psionic energy haing been released at some point.

Why would you want emeralds? You could use corundum crystals(like rubies and sapphires), which are almost as hard as diamonds but more common.

Actually, of all known minerals, beryl has the highest sensibility to psionic infusion, to make it maths: a psionically infused ruby of the same size would provide only about 1/10 of the power output if used to generate power.

Lyrium....It's a quartz-like mineral used in Commonwealth reactors as a stabilizer. Absorbs massive amounts of heat without any change in temperature, reducing the need for coolant. also the subject of intense research by CW scientists.

Have the master emerald been mentioned in the rp sometime?

Show me the RL maths. IRL, corundum crystals are so similar to diamonds in heavy machinery and electronics, they can be substituted with no negative effects.

Sorry, did you say IRL?
Me saying beryl has psionic properties is as IRL-plausible as you saying yttrium has interdimensional properties.
Point made.

List of Darkstar materials.
ELERIUM=115
Discovered on Cyrania,Mars,its not like nothing that we never found.Darkstar has a supply of this,but without means of replicating,the use is very controlled.This element is unlike anything ever discovered throughout decades of research and space exploration. As of yet, we have no mean of artificially recreating this material, so we should manage our limited supply accordingly
