A short while later, a diplomatic ship carrying two expatriate owls from the Commonwealth approched Strigiforme space and requested to speak to a diplomat.

The diplomatic ship was still holding outside the Syndicate's space, awaiting the arrival of the battle group that a previous message had indicated would be there. Several ships jumped in, and immediately they opened fire. The shields weren't expecting the retaliation, so they fell quickly. The engines and jump drive were completely crippled, while the comms were damaged but not taken out. Some of the ships began moving in as the captain tried to contact the main ship.
"What the *Static*," the captain said over the channel, despite the channel interference. "This is a diplomatic cruiser *static* We are unarmed *Static* Violation of the Beta Aquila Security Act *Static* firing on civilian *static*"
"All the easier," replied Nex over the intercom. "Prepare to be boarded."

Zeroth had been monitoring communications lately, and what he found troubled him. The Cuuytl Vyr 'Republic' was worse than it seemed. He figured it may be very reasonable to sever all ties with them. But he would come to that.
The Obsidian Syndicate, as it appeared to be called, was not relenting on attacks on the Orion Confederation. In addition, a lot of empires had sent fleets. On top of that, communications had been lost with the diplomatic ship. Not good. He would need more information to decide what to do. But as it stood, the Syndicate was only a minor threat to NeoRome. He likely wouldn't get involved.
Something was going on with the NCSD. Given the nature of their communications, there was some attack. He knew the NCSD were friends with NeoRome, and that they were very close. Zeroth decided he would intervene as the situation required.
He turned his attention to a report from the jungle world's survey. The air was 99% similar to Earth's, and nothing harmful had been detected. There wasn't any indigenous life either. They had started extracting the air from the world and shipping it to sector 1 for NeoRome. It was sad that it was in sector 4, but it was the most sparsely populated, and therefore had the most vibrant worlds. A small section said there were some unknown ships in the system, but they were not attacking, nor communicating. Zeroth decided to let the operation on the world continue, and see if the ships would communicate.

The HADES ARROW, at a classified location and already aimed, spat out a beam of red energy. The closest (relative to the cannon) Syndicate fleet was ripped apart. Right after the impact of the shot, the 1st Fleet warped to the Syndicate border and decimated the defenses, clearing the way for the 2nd and 3rd Fleets to enter Syndicate space. These 2 fleets started marauding through Syndicate space, destroying everything they saw, until the 2nd Fleet encountered a Syndicate fleet. The fleet assumed battle formation, and began firing. All the while the 1st Fleet had blockaded the border.

The HADES ARROW is not a WMD. It is, however, a very effective anti-fleet weapon. It can penetrate heavy shields and wreak havoc with targeting controls, communications, and can rip apart the material of a ship at the molecular level in a matter of seconds. The blast also has about a 40 mile range. That makes it an anti-fleet weapon.
Apollo Class Dreadnought:
Impulse Engines: x6 IIIT-1 (Immediate Ion Impulse Thrust)
Main Engines: x6 Atomic Fusion engines
Powerplant: 100 grams of antimatter in a reactor, and 1 backup fusion reactor.
Main Weapons: x6 PBWP-2 (Particle Beam With Plasma), x2 FNE-2 (Fusion Neutron Emitters), x2 S.L.R.H.B.C ( Hadron Cannons supplied by Darkstar), x1 TITAN cannon.

OOC: Jack, you can't hold all of my territories hostage. That is absolutely bogus. I have a total of 5 planets in 3 star systems, all are guarded. Oh, and you have 1 fleet out of commission from the HADES ARROW strike.

Hey ppl one question before we fall on the same stuff as before - correct fleet size. I believe that each star has a fleet to protect it (minimum, unless they were destroyed) and yea BTW it is not a good idea to send in all of your fleets because your home will be poorly protected, from guerrilla strikes to frontal mounted assault. I think each fleet should be lead by a dread, as for the other possible numbers of frigates, cruisers, corvettes, fighters and bombers I will let you decide. In general I think each fleet can have a specific number of points and you can decide how you distribute them among the different ship classes, each type of ship has it's own value in points (like fighter wings 1,bomber wings 2, corvettes 4 etc. )
Then as for damage to the fleet e can either keep track of all fleets which sounds dumb to me or reduce this amount of fleet points from above after the battle, annihilating the dread will annihilate the fleet but the point count will reset (the remains of the fleet will join the other fleets). That fleet value can recover over time, the speed depends on the economy. Also about fleet count bringing all of your fleets to one point wont ensure your victory because a clever opponent will narrow your fleet down at jump nodes.
Also don't forget (@ Tiel) that in general your ships are public info. Hell as it looks like there is a lot of data gathering up and if Fen is not going to organize it we will need someone or something else to organize it, I'll try to write that something just don't expect too much...
EDIT: Also the political can effect how fast you can tweak your other stats for example increase your economy or your military strength.

Alright jack, for this battle (and anyone else participating), you are to post the fleet fighting and their tactics (Spoilered and encoded with Iv's program on page 6-7). That's the rules.
I will be adding that- You must post the participating fleets and their sizes, as well as armaments for the ships and such.
Also LS- Accepted, but keep in mind your capabilities are limited, in ways.
EDIT: YOur fleet size does NOT need to be encoded because it's pretty much known already. Same with class and specs.

No, I just assumed everyone was making up ships like every past RP. Also, Iv, you really shouldn't convert encrypted data. Only the GM should be able to do that.
