Application

Name: Zurar "Aimbot" Malun

Species: Ancient Machine

Gender: None

Role, specialties: Infiltrator

Personality: Cold, but not frozen, he can be friendly, but the only jokes he makes are at the costs of others.

Perks: "These aren't the droids you are looking for"(He can infiltrate buildings easier as he does not attract attention if he is hiding among other robots)

Flaws: Pretty weak against EMP's, can be infected with a computer virus.

Backstory (include any combat experience and training): He was one of the ancient machines, that did not wake up in the flagship. He woke up in Nova territory and then he got arrested, because the scientists wanted to know where he came from. First he thought, that it was ok, because he wanted to know about himself, but after his whole memory was reactivated, he started to revolt against his arrest, he began to train on the local training area and after some time he tried to break out of the research lab. He failed, but his good knowledge about infiltration were interesting for some Nova Legion generals. So he came free and assigned to the Corsair's Reverie.
Suddenly, Julo.

No, really, we should tie this RP into the empire one. For example, we respond to events that happen in the empire RP (I.E someone gets kidnapped, lets save them, or we need to find info on the enemies new tech). It would make it very interesting.

If we're having a merc RP, I think I can revive an old character from the Grounded RPs

Name: Jake Cliff

Species: Zuguthian Human

Gender: Male

Role, specialties: Expert on more or less everything that can go BOOM. Also experienced with survival in the wild.

Personality: Mostly in a happy mood, even when he has a bottle in his hand and a grenade launcher in the other. When faced with a problem, his first thoughts are to blow it up. Likes to help others, and is strategically a Leeroy Jenkins guy.

Perks: Knows his way with almost all kinds of explosives and launchers. Knows a little mechanics and electrics, but nothing advanced. Knows wilderness survival.

BTW, Fenway, are you sure your idea will play out well for people who haven't joined the empire RP?

Flaws: Never sees dangers, only potential fights. Tends to rush straight towards large predators and powerful foes. Also, if he gets too drunk, he has a tendency to start playing with explosives with even less regard to security than otherwise.

Backstory: Born and raised on the wild planet of Zuguth, so he's therefore used to extreme conditions. Served a short period in the Technotronic millitary, and then went as a mercenary on a few tours with mostly happy (for him) endings. Joined the Nova Legion after the ship he was on threw him out for getting way too drunk and blowing a hole in the wall.

Very well, so through 'Karma' Fenway picks the targets and passes them on to cats to implement?

In a way, yes. You don't have to be in the empire RP to be in this, though events in this will be affected by empire-rp events. I guess tiel's thing is right- it is like the Karma system, though in a different way. Certain actions may have someone paying well to get retribution, or something. Mercs work for money, so it won't be a karma-system per-se, but whoever the highest bidder is. Maybe we will be enlisted to protect technology, who knows?

I won't pick all the targets. I'm a contractor guy. I don't make the targets, i'm contracting with well paying contacts who want something done.

Are we starting yet, or are we waiting for someone in the empire RP to hire us to start?

Human/[alien species], copper-based blood, contact telepathy... The joke was based on the similarities.

Anyway, here's my character bio..

Name: Johanna "Smoke" Hirsch

Species: Human

Gender: Female

Role, specialties: Combat commander

Personality: Likes to come across as hard and uncaring, but her soldiers' wellbeing is actually very important to her.

Perks: Intelligent, quick-witted, knowledge of most combat equipment.

Flaws: Lost left arm, leg, eye, ear, and much of her left torso in combat. They have since been replace with prosthesis and artificial organs.

Backstory: Johanna joined the Nova Legion when she was a teenager with no combat training whatsoever. She learned all she knows from her fellow fellow soldiers and commanders over the years. She's worked her way up to the command of the planetside soldiers of Gamma Battlegroup and has participated in hundreds of battles.

We can begin anytime. Reverie is docked at a large station, orbiting a gas giant. The station has several eateries, bars, medical, and shopping centers, as well as specialized facilities such as weaponry customization and a Nova Legion command center. Corsair's Reverie crew is currently on leave.

"This is shuttle Freelance President to Corsair's Reverie. Request permission to dock. We have some of your new crew."

(OOC: Those who want to start now can come in aboard the shuttle.)

Derrick looked up from his working quarters. His communicator had picked up the shuttle's communications. He listened to the transmissions between the Reverie and the Freelance before deciding to meet them in the airlock. But first, a quick scan. He overrode the Reverie's scan system and completed a quick sweep of the shuttle.

Once that was done, he picked up a small pack. He placed several holo-pads in it, a few pistols, and some other gizmos of his. He then walked to the docking area.

The shuttle's landing gear unfolded and it settled to the deck. Several crew walked out and milled around, waiting for their assignments.

Markus stuck his head out and grinned. Hopping out of the pilot's seat, he wandered over to the wall console in the hangar and peered at it, still grinning like an idiot.

Thomas Saxon had been working out in the Reverie's gym. When he heard the shuttle's transmission, he immediately stopped what he was doing, grabbed all of his combat gear, which was a standard issue Orion Confederation shock trooper exosuit, a MSMG-1 (Magnetic Submachine Gun) and other gadgets. He went to where the shuttle had docked. He then waited to here what was going on.

Laryx hopped down from the shuttle's hatch into the hangar proper and spared a glance at his surroundings. The bay was largely vacant save for the ship he'd arrived on, but in a corner largely hidden by shadows lay the familiar silhouette of a combat walker. The Tien made a mental note to further examine it later, than proceeded to the sole corridor leading out of the cavernous chamber. He paused at the mouth of the passageway, but when no one moved to stop him he continued onward, perhaps to the ship's cafeteria. The trip had left him strangely ravenous.
