@Proto: Light railgun, okay. LRM 5, that's good, no problem with an MG array. But I can tell you that the MG isn't going to do much against anything more than 30 tons (but it'll be good for sustained fire or against infantry), and the claw's probably not going to do much at all. You could go for an SRM-4 instead of the LRM, that would make you a lot more proficient with CQC.

@Error/Iv: I still object to Iv's mech. It's hugely overpowered, mine has about 1/4 the firepower and the tonnage is the same (mine's pretty close to canon).

"We've already broken protocol once this mission, I'd rather be paid than reprimanded or dead."

Karl sighed. "You're right. We need to move, get to that airbase as quickly as possible, then we can start sweeping the mine rigs. Twitch, have you gotten through the jammer yet?"

"No, sir. I need a point to point beam or something strong enough to keep its signal, I could've used the Dropship's comm system, but it's shot." Twitch replied.

"Hmm. What's the intel on this airbase, then?" Asked Karl

"Small, light defense, a few turrets. No high-value targets, but two mech storage units and a repair bay." Said Blaze. "There's also a communications array that Twitch could probably use."

"Good. We can repair and call in another pilot for viper's mech. Let's move. Twitch and Blaze, you up front, scout ahead, we'll follow a half click behind."

"Yessir."

"Aye."

Twitch's commando ran forward, Blaze's Blue Flame following behind.

I have more or less the firepower of others in this place and some have superior firepower and you need to find a way around it you know ...

Because I don't want to exceed realism of the universe in question. My weapons ARE canon, I just said that, that's why I'm using mine as a comparison. All those with firepower even remotely close to yours are at least a good 30+ tons heavier than you (and with two A/C20s and LRM20s, nothing comes very close). We're playing by the Battletech rules, and I'm quite a bit more familiar with them than you are.

Well I took the liberty of making the rockets not weight tons because sry it cannot be canon if it is canon like it because it is simply not canon to sci-fi , I changed by demand to AC/15 and while it is driven from mech arrior there was little left from it apart from game mechanics, simply because nobody played it here apart from a chosen few.

If playing by the Mechwarrior rules causes so much problems, maybe someone should make a mech RP that focuses on realism and not Mechwarrior logic.

Well that won't even be the thing that sinks it all cats if Error won't show up to help we won't be able to resolve battles like what we have with daynel for example, without those player interactions the RP just becomes pointless writing contest and we are never good at those

Realism? you're stomping around battlefields in giant walking robots armed with lasers and BFGs. I'm sorry, did you say realism?

If you have an issue with the current structure, toss me a clear query about it. Iv/Daynel, play out your battle, I will join in with my force at some point (unless you ask me not to).

Heavy plasma cannon is removed from Iv's mech (sorry, I was tired and didn't read the apps fully. I've leanred.) The rest is fine for that weight.

Iv, a plasma gun would do massive damage, but would (literally) melt itself. You can have it as a one-shot (and you'll take 50% armor damage to whatever it's attached to).

Just for the future running an RP is not an easy task and it doesn't end in proposing the idea, you need to be there to direct the game and you won't have the privilege of joining the game yourself, you get to be a god but that also means you will have a lot of work. Nobody expected you to be here 24/7 but you will need to be here and without you here it all becomes pointless.

Cats, an AC/20 is a large-bore gun, firing shells. Not an unsuual weapon on a mech.

If you guys want me to direct battles, you'll need patience; I can only be on a couple hours every day.
