BIC: Searching the surface floor for any other useful items, 'Marek came across a robe draped across an old, dried corpse. He removed the article, brushed the dust and skin remnant off, and used it to cover himself. An odd noise forced him into the shadows. He slowly set the bag on the ground and removed an accelerator rifle, along with a magazine of slugs. Inserting the magazine into the receiver and activating the charging mechanism, he turned toward the source of the sound. A large rodent, about a meter from head to tail, hissed at him from a corner. 'Marek lowered his rifle, raised his hand, and focused his thoughts on the rodent. Its head twitched slightly and it fell. He turned his back on the dead animal and picked up the bag, then continued on his way through the facility.

*I made the way to the generator, grabbing any spare things that could find in the way. Small bits of cloth? No problem. Pieces of metal? Sure!. I made the way to the generator. Made to generate energy for thousands of years,by the time of the cryo-opening,he was nearly depleted. With the schematics of the facility and with the problems of eletricity,i began to repair what i could.
Sitting down, i busied myself at repairing the generator. The previous one was an excellent starting point despite its time-worn condition, but I had to make some heavy adjustments to accommodate for the lack of a fusion core. Taking care not to damage anything vital, I stripped out useless connections to areas such as the living room and the several now-vacant rooms that no longer had real use. Rerouting the power, I focused everything into three areas; the Kitchen, the computer console, and some lights. Anything else could be added later when I figured out how to generate more electricity.*

Re: Wasted
Subject 1X was busy hacking the keypad to get out of the building. As he did so, he heard a noise. Quickly turning around, he spotted an oversized wolf-like thing. He quickly fired his pistol, killing the creature. He then decided to get some body-armor and other supplies before going outside. When he got to the armory, he grabbed a body armor vest and a gauss rifle with 4 magazines. He also took 3 ration packs and a water bottle. He then put everything that he took besides the rifle, 1 magazine, and the body-armor into a backpack. He then went back the hacking.

Re: Wasted
"Well shit I guess no one can hear me in here." Vita said looking at the shattered remains of his cuffs. "Guess they didn't think I would use these to try and bash down a door too. Maybe I can use somethin' in here to get out..." Looking around Vita quickly discovered the lack of anything besides himself and the corpse of someone. "God damn if there was something besides my pod and a dead guy I could get this open... Hey Sol you there I need a way out of this room." Vita said talking to his long offline a.i. "Sol. Vita to Sol come on you lazy ass a.i. the least you could do is open a door." Vita said walking over to search the corpse."Hmm... security officer" Vita noted looking over the corpse's shoulder patch. "I swear Sol if you make me use another man's thigh bone as a crow-bar again I will rip you outta my head myself." he said growing more frustrated with his situation. "God damn it."
Vita quickly set to the task first searching the man for a key-card or something of use to cut the guys thigh bone out. After a quick rifle through a dead man's pocket and a realization that his guard shot himself near empty holster little more then a small caliber hand gun clip, a key to his broken hand-cuffs and not a single god damn knife was found. "Come on Sol, I'm sorry for yelling just don't make me rip this guy's thigh out." After a few moments of silence Vita gave up on his a.i. assuming that it was being it's usual pick of a self. "Fine at least outline his thigh so I don't have to randomly reach around in his leg." When no outline came over his vision Vita began to worry as his a.i. was supposed to activate his hud elements at a thought let alone a verbal order. "Okay what happened to everything...." Vita said realizing that he remembered little more then his imprisonment for war crimes and the fact that he should have been in cryo until the end of time or until humanity wanted something exterminated....again.
"Guess I should get outta here and find out." Vita said returning to the task of ripping another man's thigh bone out with a quick forceful push with his finger tips he broke through the deceased man's upper thigh and gripped the corpse's femur. Finally with a pull that was way to strong for a rotted corpse he ripped out the femur in an all to sudden burst causing the large man to jerk off his feet, stumble, and trip across the gun, which he should have found if he had searched better, on the floor causing him to bash his head ruffly into the pod, shatter the glass, and promptly pass out in an extremely noisy display of sliding gun, crashing femur, and exploding body parts.
OOC: Am I doing it right? Also if any of you find me passed out in the lock down cryo-pod just attempt to wake me other wise I have to use a femur to open doors.

Re: Wasted
In his travels into the lobby and entrance area, 'Marek found three bottles of water, some quick-dried food, and a few grey jumpsuits in a storage bin; along with a nanoedge blade lying on the floor and a length of vine that looked strong enough to use as rope. From various corpses, he procured an officer's sash and holster belt (into which he slid a gauss pistol and the knife), and some Tien foot coverings that could be edited for Feles pads easily enough. He placed the extra clothing and food items in the bag, and wore the coil of vines across his chest, perpendicular to the sash.
When all his equipment was in order, the Feles walked back to the emergency stairwell. He vaulted down the stairs and ran through the scientific ward, pausing to kill another of the large rodent-creatures. 'Marek slid through a door connecting the Central area to the scientific ward, saw several newly-awakened persons gathering, and decided that it was best to avoid them for now. He skirted the center of the area, sticking to the wall, until he found a door labeled 'SECURE WARD'. It was locked and steel-armored, too sturdy to pry open. 'Marek searched his bag until he found a small plasma gun, then activated it and pressed the nozzle onto the metallic surface. The spot under the nozzle glowed and he increased the flow of plasma. Carefully, he moved the gun in an arc on the door, until he traced an area large enough for him to fit. He pushed the piece through and crawled into the prisoner's ward, careful to avoid the red-hot edges. In front of him lay a large human, draped over the broken entrance of a pod, holding another, deader human's femur. 'Marek retrieved a small pistol from the floor and placed it in his shash. He stood a few meters away from the unconscious human, tossed a water bottle at it, and leveled his accelerator pistol at the human's head.
The human awoke and looked up at 'Marek, then attempted to rise off of the floor.
'Marek cleared his throat and adjusted his larynx, this being the first time he'd spoken after the thaw, "I suggest you stay still if you'd like to live."

Re: Wasted
As I walked through the vault towards the kitchen, I was struck by how lonely and cold the place seemed. The chairs, once luxurious and comfortable, had deteriorated into such a state of disrepair that they were hardly even recognizable, just as Collin had said they would. Most of the place lay dusty and untouched, the entire facility looking like ancient ruins to a lost civilization that you would see in a movie.
"That's because they ARE ancient ruins to a lost civilization." I thought, the impact of everything finally dawning on me. I really was standing in ruins. I was a relic of the past Everything knew was gone, taken away by the unrelenting march of time.
I take the time to compress the metal bar, trying to forge a blade.

"Well Hello, or is it meow, to you cat-man. Where I come from we don't point guns at people as a hello." Vita said.
"So, does this mean cat people finally took over?" Vita asked, genuinely hoping the cat would move the gun before things were forced to escalate.
Looking behind the cat though Vita noted the lack of an army of cat-men and the fact that the cat lacked proper equipment added credit, but it never hurts to ask. "So are you here for a jail break or to check on the guard, who I had no business in killing?" Vita asked as well still gripping the femur of the body.

Re: Wasted
'Marek looked down at the man, undoubtedly dangerous, but perhaps useful. He did, after all, rip out a someone's femur bare-handed, apparently with enough force to disintegrate much of it. A feat, even with a mostly mummified corpse. The feles clicked his lower mandibles and issued a low, sighing growl.
"Tell me why you were frozen. I won't kill you unless you make it necessary."

Re: Wasted
I held my breath as I muttered a prayer to any deity that was listening from above me, my hand resting on the lever in front of me. Crossing my fingers, I threw the switch and the generator sprang to life, the lights in the room flickering on for the first time in god knows how long. Letting out a whoop of if joy, I turned around to admire my work.
Then the damned thing started sparking, and in a panicked frenzy I dove for the switch, shutting off the power.
I sat there for a moment to catch my breath before I let loose a string of curses that would make the toughest sailor in the world blush in embarrassment. This was starting to get really frustrating.
"What the hell went wrong this time?" I muttered to no one in particular, running a greasy hand through my hair for what had to be the hundredth time since I had started this project. Opening the control console, I began to examine the connections and fuses.

Re: Wasted
Ron was starting to assume there were no personal left.
After walking through the hallways of the seemingly deserted facility for a while, picking up any food, water and ammunition he could find, he stopped in front of what appeared to be some sort of door to the outside of the facility.
Either that, or someone had just put up the "EXIT" sign and the high security door panel just for fun.
Now he just had to find a keycard, some explosives or someone who knew how to hack a door panel.

Re: Wasted
After another half hour of fussing about, I finally flung my tools across the room in a fit of anger. This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I've always had access to power, trying to generate it from nothing was something entirely new to me. Getting an electrical charge was not really too much of a problem. Holding it and focusing it was where the real trouble was coming up.
Idly I thought about how amazing it was that we even had something like this in the past, that we were even capable of figuring out how to harness it on the scale that was achieved during our own era. I had always taken it for granted, written it off as something so simple and basic. Now that I was trying to do it myself, I realized how lucky we really were.
Deciding that I needed a break to clear my head, I walked out of the generator room and into the living room. After my little breakdown the day before, I had decided to start cleaning up the vault a little bit, getting all the dirt and dust out as well as rigging up some temporary furnishings. Having removed the broken chairs and repurposing what was left into a couple tacky looking cushions, I flopped down on one of them and let loose a frustrated sigh. This was going to take a little longer to sort out.
