No, I want you to leave. Right now. Stop posting in this thread, because only Luna knows the capabilities of the Scourge, and only I know the capabilities of the SABER. Your input is not required.Lightspeed wrote:Ouch! Don´t kick me!

So,SABE vs Scourge.
Scourge is a dreadnought? Let me see your arguments \o
@Luna, it looks like the first one has limited ammunition. For a ship the size of the SABER they don't really pose much of a threat unless it's prolonged bombardment. The second may or may not succumb to the point defense system given their lack of durability.
TBH, at this point I'd like to say the SABER's escort provides support, but we haven't exactly outlined what this engagement entails. Does each superweapon have a small contingent of ships, or is it a 1v1 scenario?

Re: SABER vs Scourge
Regardless the support fleets would be about even. for simplicities sake it's 1v1. and only the model B of the barracuda runs out of ammo quickly.Tiel wrote: TBH, at this point I'd like to say the SABER's escort provides support, but we haven't exactly outlined what this engagement entails. Re: SABER vs Scourge
Oh well. I'm willing to accept that kind of encounter would likely result in a M.A.D scenario unless planned with overwhelming odds.

Re: SABER vs Scourge
In my eyes it would be a hallow victory for the Scourage cause it would be crippled and have to be remadeTiel wrote:Oh well. I'm willing to accept that kind of encounter would likely result in a M.A.D scenario unless planned with overwhelming odds.

A unarmed carrier that can withstand a giant warship.

Lightspeed
@Luna
There wouldn't be a victory for anyone. Mutually Assured Destruction. The way it'd play out is superlaser destroys Scourge, and the the Scourge's drone complement destroys the SABER shortly after. Drones run out of power and go kaputt. It's sorta like Martyrdom in Call of Duty.
Now, with fleets on both sides the odds are pretty mixed up.

Re: SABER vs Scourge
I think the Aigaiion wins. Why? It is made to kill super-ships like the SABER or Scourge. It has the best strikecraft squadrons in the navy, and has the energy projector that says "fuck you" to armor.

Re: SABER vs Scourge
SABER has a primary laser that says "fuck you" to shields, the Aiigon's primary defense. Lithe corvettes would be an even match to the strikecraft sent against it.ACH0225 wrote:I think the Aigaiion wins. Why? It is made to kill super-ships like the SABER or Scourge. It would then be up to Energy Projector vs Chimera Supercannon, and that's something that should be left up to dice rolling :P

You do realize that the SABER and the Scourage are made to combat ships like the Aigaigiion right>ACH0225 wrote:I think the Aigaiion wins. Why? Re: SABER vs Scourge
Idk, Aigaiion is made to specifically kill superweapons. It's armor is probably below grade for super ships, but it is still pretty thick. Besides, is the SABER a giant laser or giant cannon? It can't be both.

Dunno about Scourge, but SABER is a mobile planet buster. Besides, the Aigaiions shields and AAA cannons would keep it mostly safe from strikecraft, while the NeoRoman fusion splicers and energy projector would beat the shit out of the Scourge. And maybe the SABER.

Re: SABER vs Scourge
SABER is classified as an ultra-dreadnought, actually. Being able to render planets uninhabitable by the sheer force of its beam when overcharged is but one of its features.

Re: SABER vs Scourge
I think what were trying to say is, for all intensive preposes, Most flagships are relatively even in power

I believe the saying is "intents and purposes" not "intensive purposes".
