Due to unprovoked strikes on Taln vessels by the Eggman Empire, task forces have been deployed to harass their shipping as well. The Protectorate would like to remind everyone involved that all operations outside of Taln space will cease if the Cavnin merely respond to our offers of peace.

OOC: already did the whole rendering alicorns mortal thing, that was like a few pages ago, their immortality (here) is created by a certain psychic field thingy, similar to zero's powers, but zero is from another universe, so his field has the opposite quantum numbers, in a similar manner to what gives Omega an the MK-IV Lamentors their near invincibility, only the difference is not noticeable, when the two meet, they cancel out, rendering both entities powerless and mortal, except zero was mortal in the first place, but his raw physical form is slightly stronger than that of a pony.
At least that's the NSCD's current theory, the two fields actually superimpose to create a third type, which neither can use, so they lose power, though there might be a certain gateway on a certain planet that requires such a field to open, but I haven't decided how to crowbar that in.

Internal Affairs:
LOCKOUT Protocol has been fully implemented. It is expected to be lifted within 2 weeks if tensions relax.
All but 3 Argus probes have been deployed. They have the other nations under surveillance in case something happens.
5 of the 20 Nike heavy cruisers are complete. The 5th fleet is 90% complete total.
A carrier has been developed in secret. It is the Reprisal Class. Specifications are -CLASSIFIED LEVEL 30-. 3 are being put into production as tests to see if the Leonidas Class can be phased out. New fighter and bomber types have also been developed for this carrier, to phase out the Gladius. These are the Peregrine fighter and the Longsword bomber. Specifications are -CLASSIFIED LEVEL 22-.

The Chancellor was sitting in his chair reading a report from one of the Argus probes, trying not to lose focus. The report said that the EE had deployed ships to protect the Cavnin freighters from privateers sponsored by the Taln. This last part was figured out by spies. In response, the Taln had deployed ships to partially blockade the EE shipping lanes. It was times like these that made Bauer appreciate how the Confederation was somewhat removed from these situations.

Arxin watched the exchange on his console screen with growing interest. The NCSD's encryption was tough, but after a year of covertly researching its many quirks Fleet Intelligence had developed something of a cipher. It did frequently lose words in translation, but as the Tien glanced through the inquiry and the response from the robot capital he was able to somewhat understand what was going on. The NCSD were kidnapping Luna, if one could call stealing an Alicorn as such. Normally he'd have little cause to care, but given the suspicions of who was truly behind the bombing on Cayla...Arxin sighed and shook his head, as if to free the various biases and misgivings currently residing in it. This was wrong, and once the robots took her to their base it'd be too late. He looked at a portrait next to his computer, of his wife and children, and decided to do the right thing.

The entirety of the 3rd Fleet and elements of the 1st have been pulled off active duty and into a single task force computer logs indicate is under the command of Fleet Marshal Arxin Tiel. A total of 8 Sluis Van class carriers, 60 Excelsior class cruisers, 192 Pathos frigates, as well as the Sovereignty class Dreadnought Temperance have left their duties and jumped to an unknown location, but the Directorate has yet to condone nor condemn the apparently rogue commander's actions. Stay tuned as the situation develops.
