Zero kept running through the maze of corridors, only turning when Phi told him to.

At one point he thought he saw a... Strigiforme? Was that what Phi had called it.

Something felt wrong, he could feel something in the air.

Zero came up to a bulkhead, Phi told him it had been recently opened, and that his brother had died in there.

The moment Zero stepped through that bulkhead, he felt something invade his mind, reaching around, he could see it within himself.

"It's here, I can't help you, but if you can stop it from knowing your deepest fears, then it can't hurt you" Phi whispered to Zero

"But I don't have any fears, nothing really scares me"

"In which case it'll search for my deepest fears, and trust me, you will find that terrifying"

Zero concentrated, he could visualise the thing groping around inside his mind, he confronted it mentally, pushing it away, it quickly left, but Zero felt tired, he could not keep doing this

"Phi, do we really need to find your brother?"

"Yes, I must know what has become of him"

OOC: yes light speed, you can use void later, but you need to die first.

334 came across a control room. After making sure it was empty, he stepped inside. Nothing. It was completely deserted. He scanned it, and realized that everything had been left on. He found the active power conduit and traced it to a backup generator. He then realized that not only was everything on, it was unlocked. He could access what this control room offered.

But first thing's first. He opened the power control center and analyzed it. The main Fusion Reactor had been shut down. Not destroyed, shut down. Manually. 334 entered several commands and rebooted the main reactor. He connected all conduits. Within a few minutes, the lights in the facility began turning back on. Things began turning on.

334, though, could not do much else. Computer access was locked after he started the generator, requiring three separate codes. Which he did not have. He was about to leave when a small noise bounced out from the console. 334 turned around and looked at the screen. It was... a communication request. 334 knew the communication antenna was knocked out, so he was puzzled as to how this came through. But given the higher-tech nature of this block, it wasn't unlikely that there were backup systems. 334 answered the request.

"Finally, someone picks up," a voice squawked. "This is the UTF Battleship Ragnarov. We were sent to investigate the blackout on the research program. What's your status?" 334 was slightly puzzled. This was a prison, not a research center. The high-tech nature of this block said otherwise. 334 realized he was speaking on an otherwise restricted access channel. But they would need help.

"Not good, Ragnarov," he replied. "Something's been let loose in the facility. Almost everyone's dead."

"Dammit, I knew Nightmare would escape." There was a pause and a noticeable clicking from the other side. "It's too dangerous for us to land and descend. Can you initiate protocol A001-C?" 334 realized the Ragnarov did not know he was unauthorized.

"I don't know. Security systems have locked down. Definitely not from the control room."

"You'll have to do it manually. I'm sending the authorization codes now. It should appear in a data core." As he spoke, a small data disc ejected from the console.

"I don't see how this can help. Authorization codes won't get through the security net."

"That's why you enter it into the mechanism itself. Take the core to the Central Power Control and insert the core to the main terminal. The AI will accomplish the rest." There was a pause, and a lot of clicking. "Remember, this never happened. The UTF will not hear of this, or they'll shut us down for good. And if we land, that's a clear indicator something's gone wrong." After some more clicking, the channel shut off. And the console shut off as well. 334 took the disc. He scanned it, but could not penetrate the encryption.

He left the control room. This facility was a lot more than it seemed to be.

Zero kept running, following Phi's directions, until he tripped over something, falling hard.

"What was that?"

"Don't know, I can't see, take a look will you"

Zero looked at what had just tripped him up, the moment he saw it, he heard Phi gasp.

"Th- brother? How? Who did this?" Phi whispered in Zero's ear, "Zero, pick it up, there should be a cable hanging down, try and stick it in the socket on my, sorry I mean your head"

Theta attached the cable, and felt Phi go quiet

"No"

"We failed"

"Failed what?" Zero asked

"It doesn't matter, not anymore, worry about your immediate circumstances"

"They aren't very bad, I can't see anything"

"No, but I just looked through the visual records of Theta, I know what killed him"

*Phi runs the last thing Theta saw through Zero's mind"

"I saw a bunch of survivors up ahead, should I go and find them?" Zero asked

"Yes, it might help... Might"

OOC: Must I revive this again?

BIC:
334 received an anonymous transmission straight to his unit. He approximated it to come from orbit. In it he found a map, and a message.

//FROM- Ragnarov Battleship//

So you're an AI. Excellent. Makes communication easier. Though you are unauthorized, you are the only I trust to complete the task.

I have enclosed a map for download. In it you will find a detailed schematic for the facility, though the details are only for the route you must take. Defense systems have been activated recently, and Nightmare may move into the area. Watch everything, the Warden is not your friend here.

//END//
-ATTACHED- Facility Map

334 quickly scanned the map. He affirmed his course and began marching toward his objective.

OOC: I would love to revive this, but Detla's still lying deactivated on the floor by those stairs from a while ago.

A spark in the lights in the hallway of Block D occurs. It's nothing major, merely a spark. But it is slightly damaging. The spark goes down the wire conduits and into Delta's form. It trips the activation switch, and Delta begins booting up again.

OOC: There. Happy?

OOC: Much so.
BIC: >>Emergency Circuit Override: Rebooting<<
>>Welcome back, DELTA-256! You have been inactive for: [CRITICAL ERROR]<<
Several lines of startup procedures and code execute and pass through Delta's photoreceptors.
>>Engaging external photoreception<<
Slowly, 256 regained vision. The darkness of nothing lifted like a bag, leaving him in blackness.
>>Black levels critical<<
>>Engaging infrared<<
>>Engaging nightvision<<
>>Engaging ultraviolet<<
His positronic brain engaged subroutines to view the environment optimally. He could now see the floor. He was laying down.
>>Registering temporary failure in hydraulics, rectifying<<
>>Activating self-lubrication procedures<<
Stuck from inactivity, small jets applied lubricants to various pistons and joints. Delta would be able to walk. And soon.
>INPUT: Disengage safeties.
>>Safeties disengaged<<
>>...<<
>>Registering system functionality, have a good day DELTA-256<<
With a spasm here and there, Delta slowly stood. He engaged his short-range motion trackers. Nothing. He placed it to run in the background of more important things.
>>Analyzing surroundings<<
>INPUT: Locate terminals<
>>Working...<<
>>Terminal GAURD9802 is open but locked<<
>INPUT: Find a work-around. I need to find out what's going on<
>>As you wish, DELTA-256<<
Delta slowly made his way to the terminal, limping slightly. Although functioning, not everything was 100% operational yet.

Tyr continued to patrol the now lit corridors, finding a trail of increasingly mutilated bodies, though never by the same way. Some were slashed by talons, others suffered beak wounds, more still had massive bullet holes, and an every increasing majority had some strange form of death caused by extreme bleeding from all orifices, only the blood was blackened and thick. The bodies were growing colder as he passed, indicating whatever killed them move in the opposite direction that Tyr was going. He continued traveling.

Extra bit: please note that Ebola is the scourge of space humans, and many prisoners fear an outbreak, as it would kill a large group of them. Thusly, the creature takes on the form of ebolamonster, killing then with Ebola.

OOC: BTW- 334 reactivated the generator, Vinyl. The lights are on, or coming on, and stuff will work again.

And Ebola? You think it would be some exotic disease, but oh well.

You don't want to get rid of fluids unnecessarily in space, and you are in an enclosed environment. One faulty filter, and everyone gets whatever disease is in the air.
