I may as well do a troop transport parallel to the UTF scythe, for I can do a troop transport to a decent degree in techne.
I am making the ATAGTV (All terrain anti gravity transport vehicle) which will feature anti grav pods instead of wheels, a moving steering wheel, a turret and radar system (which will point the same way as the turret) which will be linked to a joystick in the cockpit which you'll see move in 1st person view, which will look cool

the driver is in the cockpit, but controls a turret, I've put a little mini turret (a radar) on the front so you can see where it is pointing
actually I can just show you (don't say crap texture, I haven't even started it)

also I can't tell if the floating things float when they are used in Minecraft, if they do I'll just remove them, they may not float

nope they still float, might have set the rotation points wrong, or all turrets rotate around the same point, removed.

That's the cockpit, I'm only going to texture half that panel, and there are struts modelled behind it, so I can give it a pretty good canopy

I'm not aware of any other Flan vehicles in which the player isn't in the turret except for AA guns, where the player rotates around the axis along with the gun. That's about right, if you look around in a vehicle (not including AA guns), you spin round to face that direction, like if your in a boat, and the turret rotates around a fixed point, which I previously thought to be the rotation point of each turret, but the two smaller turret models rotated around the big turret's rotation point, so there could be a set point around which they rotate, but the big turret isn't on what you would expect that point to be (X0 and Z0), but there's no way that it can choose to use the big turrets rotation point for the smaller two, which is really confusing, I'm questioning Manus about this one.Last_Jedi_Standing wrote:I'm not aware of any other Flan vehicles in which the player isn't in the turret except for AA guns, where the player rotates around the axis along with the gun. The model isn't 100% yet, I'm yet to add the shapes, I just wanted to see if the turrets worked, which they don't so they have to fix it.Tiel wrote:

I'll try and get them fixed, but I'll do the shape adding for this either at the same time or after I add the shapes to the UTF Scythe
Also I'm a plane guy, I suck at land vehicles, this is the only time I've even attempted something like this

Yeah, unfortunately that's what I suspected. It would be awesome if that worked, but Flan's mod just isn't capable of it, right now at least.
