variables and statistics

for all this to work we need to have some variables and statistics
i already did some in my stats and stuff but we got nowhere

so just i just give al list of stats and variables
and you post it again with behind each yes or no

more lives about 80
gravity [like i explained already]
human size
underwater breathing
faster swimming
fuel efficency
electricity
radiation
noise
firing rate
shield replenishing lvl
bone density ????


explanation
Spoiler:
air pressure = the amount of air present in one block when supplying ships /bunkers/spacestations with air you could use this
for each time a block is filled someone can get 5 bars of air that are counted without the player noticing
when this is done the block is airless and cant be used to take a breath [for this we need air shifting a little away from the distributor and into each empty block] if your air distibutor functions you shouldnt notice a thing multiple times filled can happen and when you reach 4 times it becomes toxic how this would work i dont know.

temprature= aswell as engine temprature for fusion reactors and combustion temprature for combustion thrusters it could have effect at stealth [in alot of sci-fi they use the heat that engines emit to track someone. also the temprature of players for tracking but also freezing on ice planets
or dieng of heat on desert planets

human strenght= the amount a player can carry

machine strength= the amount a machine can propell/lift/puch/pull

more lives = if we want to have stronger weapons and more diffrence between them we need a more precise measuring you do this by adding life at this point we have 40 if you would make 80 we could have standard weapons doing 5 and uber guns doing 120 area other wise all guns no matter how good they are would have practicly the same damage

fuel afficency = the amount of fuel a machine turns into a amount of force/power/thrust/energy

noise= the amount of noise a machine makes this could definitly blow your cover

bone density= how resistant you are to gravity changes


i have alot of ideas for this but first we need to know what to do with all these things and if you know more please say so

And why would we care about noise levels ? That starts to smell with math, don't go too far with numbers ...

i didnt say it would be lvls
but noise would be a factor

noise irritates
when you hear noise you are distracted
you cant hear the important things
noise can tell others that you are there

so thats why i think a machine could create diffrent amounts of noise
the better the engine the lower the amount of noise

and also when you make it combust very strong yo get alot of noise
while when you are very efficynt
it would be much quiter



and i tryd to explain some keon read it again in the explanations

Wouldn't it be virtually impossible to code in noise pollution anyway? With that I wouldn't go further than having low tier ships making noises like the crushers from voltz; making you turn your volume down, although noise levels seem a good idea, it would be a nightmare to think of a system for it.

its a variable already when it the sound becomes louder with the machine

it wasnt an axact variable but it is a variable
because it changes

Joykelr, please tell me you're joking. Of all those variables, only ~3 are actually useful: radiation, firing rate and shield replenishment. All the rest are completely unnecessary.

I agree. Why do we need differential swimming and fuel rates? If you have a nuclear reactor, you always will have the same fuel efficiency unless you arrange it differently or something. No exceptions.

so each ship would go with the same speed ?
you can breath in space ?
you wil always stand on the ground and there is no diffrence between space or a planet
one bukket of fuel will power an engine for ever ?
if you get a hole in your hull it wouldn matter ?

sorry but we need some variables most of them wont be needed for the player but for the development this is important

Those aren't variables. That's common knowledge. Everyone already knows these things, but what you are saying is random junk we don't need, like swimming speed. Ship speed depends on engine power, btw.

i tryd to get the whole picture
engine power is in machine power

because some cranes or something would have their own strength

i asked if you could say wich to i didnt say we should use it all

and this is primaraly so everyone know wich variables shoule be reckoned with because if we are talking about speed or electricity we discover we need to have a measurement system for those things that should be in here

Joykler, in coding, variables are stored inside a class. Can you show where these variables would go? I don't really understand right now.

Im just Saying that we should archive wich variables would be calculated and how

I think we need to downgrade Steves strength to create more advancements

Gravity wouldnt be too hard if you look at my gravity idea
