It definetly wasn´t an EE vessel and I´d bet not a Darkstar one either. If you were to assalt something, you´d make sure you´re unnoticed. More the sabotage-kind of culture... That definetly was a direct hit from outside.
Besides, if it was a Darkstar vessel, they would have taken more time to spot it. Surely not NeoRome either, they would never endanger their own personell.
I´d say it propably was the Strigiforme, they are known for doing such things, or some Cavnin pilot thought to have been attacked by the station, I heard they had some suspicions about this project...

"Was that a frigate ?" Asked one of the marines as the squad approached the wreckage "Yes, they say something about a virus over the comm" "Find the comm computers and the bodies of the crew" said Jacob "If the Virus got on board in any way this would be it". The marines began to scan the wreckage, suddenly Sergeant Harper noticed a movement. He closed to an armor plate. Below it he could see a body of a crew member. Harper closed to inspect the body when suddenly it leaned towards him. Harper quickly backed off as the man tried to free himself of the wreckage and go towards him "Hey ! over there !". Jacob quickly closed to Harper and looked at the man "Bingo".

Hope: "Well, there´s been quite a lot of talking about Darkstar in the EE lately.
Seems the SGM likes your new policy of ethics.
So, if you have many names, I´ll just give you two choices of what I should call you: Ood or Odo. Nah, just joking. It´s kind of a running gag in the EE to compare them to changelings due to their stealthiness.
Some even say you´d be fit better for the name "Agent Changeling".
*to the guard* Anyway, how long does it take for you to open up that damn door and have me speak to whoever is in charge of this base?

Hope:"Okay. That´s it. I´ll go back in my room and use my communication systems to find out what exactly happened.
I´m not gonna get any kind of information from here.

Oh, and don´t worry about the changeling thing, we have that sort of joke for every faction around."

We´ll just look at that communicator screen of mine. If you try anything, I have connections to make sure there´ll be consequences.

[Professor Fenway]

The man was heavily injured, and the team tied a splint to his broken legs. Before long, he coughed and said something.

"What was that?" Sergeant Harper asked. The man coughed again.

"It.. it wasn't the virus. We ord...*Cough* Ordered the attack."

"What are you saying?"

"We ordered... attack..." The man coughed, and then grasped Harper. He attempted to free himself, then paused. His pupils dilated, exponentially, then returned to normal. The man's grip relaxed, and he fell silent. Harper checked his pulse. Dead. Harper stood up.

"It wasn't the virus at work here," he said. "Treachery. We should inform NeoRoman command of this."

"Roger," Jacob said. "But we should collect the Comm Computers anyway."

"They're useless. The explosion completely shot them out. No way any data could have survived." Harper then picked up a nearby computer, which was quite obviously completely destroyed. Jacob nodded.

"Well, I guess we have nothing to do here. Let's get back to base." Everyone followed him back to the shuttle.

Precisely three feet under the very spot Harper had stood, a data-core pulsed slightly, attempting to send out a signal that normally would tell NeoRoman ships its location. But the signal was suppressed. Before long, it fell silent.

//ELSEWHERE//

Markus finished composing the report and scanned it over several times before flipping on the base-wide communication. He cleared his throat before he started.

"This is lead researcher Markus. As you are aware, we were attacked about three standard hours ago. For those whom are uninformed, we will be providing an outline of the events." He paused for a second.

"We lost contact with the NeoRoman frigate Halifax about 30 minutes after a test was run on the Virus. I will not be releasing the details of this test. Not long after, several missiles were detected on sensors emanating from the direction of the frigate. We were not prepared for the first wave of missiles, and they struck. Moderate damage was suffered to the landing bay, viral research area, and living quarters. The shield was put up, in time for a second wave of missiles."

"Scrambled fighters found the Halifax and disabled their stealth system, which had prevented our automated defense system from destroying it. After it attempted to launch again, the EE destroyed the vessel." He sighed.

"We believe this to be the work of the Virus. How it got to the frigate is not known. We have sent a team to recover any usable wreckage, that will help us identify the cause, and look for survivors."

"That is all we know. Further information will be told on a need-to-know basis." He shut off the announcement system. He then checked a report. All researchers had arrived, including the one from the downed shuttle, and they had all received their holo-pads. He sent out a memo, stating the orientation meeting will be in 8 Standard Hours and then left the office.

5 minutes later, the door opened and closed. The holo-desk was activated, and several passwords were tried before the desk shut itself off. The paper report on the desk about the attack disappeared from view, and shortly the door opened and closed once again. Security systems did not note any security violations, only a malfunction of Markus' mag-locked door.

Sergeant Harper left the office after submitting his report. Jacob was standing there, watching out of the window on the remains of the frigate. "Sir, I just wanted thought about it and ... I want to ask, do you really believe some sort of Virus could do it ? I mean take control of the whole frigate ..." "Yes it could" "Does this trouble you ?" "No, it was rather expected. I'm more concerned about how it left the quarantine and the amazing similarity between Aurora and Alpha stations. If my assumptions are correct, there is something urgent and quite interesting I'll have to share with my fellow scientists"

*MESSAGE TO DARKSTAR UNIT: Mantain level NOVA communication encripyting and begin quantum entaglement commmunication.
Also,call a battlegroup of 4 Nightcrawlers and 2 Flapjack for logistics and cyber-warfare. We will mantain a network of computers contaning the virus! *

*The Doctor was sending the message trought a comm relay in his holo-pad*

Nakar stretched her neck and reset her jaws, the ride through Kalii's atmosphere was less than comfortable. She watched as the Whispray entry shuttle reascended, then removed a communication device from her earpan and placed it in her bag alongside a personal holotank and a Shi' Militia issue nanoblade wrapped in a formal robe.

Kayntor finally made it to the station and to his room. He takes out his holo-pad and says to himself "lets see what I can do with this". He set it up and personalized it to better fit him. Suddenly an indicator on the the pad appeared saying "would you like to view the map"? Kayntor said to himself "I don't see why not, he pressed the indicator. Suddenly the lights in his room went off, and the door locked, there was a message still on the holo-pad, it read "You know not what your getting yourself into" then the holo-pad shut off, the lights flickered back on and the door unlocked, Maybe I should report this to Markus. Kayntor goes to find him, he reports what happend in his room.

Linn and the squad moved with her luggage to the room where she would be staying. Included were some ongoing experiments as well as plenty of spare lab coats. Not because she planned ahead in case one of them got ruined, she just liked how they felt and looked.
