I AM A JENIUS (or a total moron for not discovering this sooner, either or)

turns out that the code part that defines the position of each shape, is actually the point that it rotates around, and that the position of the shape can be entered elsewhere in the code (in the 0F 0F 0F that comes before the dimensions of the shape).
this means i can have my shapes all rotate around the same point.
only problem is that pre-rotated shapes rotate on a slightly different angle to others, but that just means I have to take the rotations off, this is already a relatively fancy model.
just need to sort out view limits, and the angle of the ammo box, and this is good to go

A hover tank isn't entirely out of the question though, but a lack of wheels could be seen as a cheap corner cut, so I think the first tank will have to be conventional

I was thinking something between halo and 40K, I.e. multiple tracks (I'm thinking six rather than the four used on the scorpion) and a really big gun.
I'll have to draw something up soon, but I'm already getting really sidetracked from the AR-15, so that'll have to come later.

if you install a tank you should make it hovering because otherwise it wouldnt look good
look at the tanks currently used
when they go up a ramp the go all upside down
and stuff
and why in the future use ordinary tanks i always wondered that say 40k and the enviroment why the hell would you use a tank that drives
a hovering tank or a hover-craft tank would be much better
