Fr0stbyte: We can't place minecart tracks on the ceiling. That would look ridiculous.

So is this general discussion of mods or just traincraft?

I shall rename it appropriately, I think it will be about traincraft and Ic2's involvement in it. I would also like people to recommend some good mods to me.

Better Than Wolves.
;.'.;'::.;:".":;",,;':",;

(Kzinti script, as best as can be displayed in Human characters, translated roughly as "For the Patriarchy!")

Don´t use Better than wolves.
It´s compatibility is the same as that of FC, but without the awesomeness.
If you want to use it for ship-building, I think there are several mods...
Tell me what looks ugly at your ships and I will tell you which mod can fix that.
Generally, RP2-microblocks help with detailing a lot.
And Universal electricity mods usually have good models for interiors.

Is this to Prototype? Also, what's FC, because if you mean Future-craft... are you a time wizard?

How does the train handle inclines? I am assuming it doesn't just clip through the ground.

When direction changes (horizontally or vertically), the graphics look like the apocalypse of modelling.
That´s the major downside of this mod.
It does clip into the terrain sometimes...

Darn, I was hoping they came up with a solution to that. I'd really like passenger monorails to be a part of FC, and even with 45 degree tracks, that is going to be a problem.

I guess we could allow rail-based objects to change their alignment to the track to stay off the rotated plane. If you've seen the opening to Borderlands 2, that is sort of what I am talking about, where the train starts above the track, but then switches rails while going over a ravine and is hanging onto the side of the new track. If we had a 3D rail go up an incline, a train car should be able to handle that as long as it is to the left or right of the rail during the transition, rather than on top (2 points of contact with the rail, on pivots).

yeah, the only problem causing the traincraft glitch is because the only part of the entity is the cab in which the player sits in... which is stupid :L
