I remember this mod, I used to use the zeppelin mod and SDKs gun mod to fly from village to village in my doom ship, laying waste to all.

Good times.

I did this too, except without the guns. I couldn't figure out how to make them work without crashing my game.

Did you install it right (I think that particular version was installed into the .jar, with a few bits in .minecraft and resources)

I'm glad we live in easier times now. Today you only need to install forge and then everything goes straight to the "mods" folder.
BTW does anyone have an idea about if the zeppelin mod will ever update?

Seriously??! I didn't even KNOW! I've been avoiding mods because they were a pain to install!

Anyone who thinks mods are hard to install is an idiot. I personally dislike the Forge method; dropping stuff into the .jar and using Modloader is so easy as it is that Forge seems a bit ridiculous. And besides that Forge is evil. Modloader is a much better way, and it saddens me a little bit to see so many mods that used to use it moving to Forge. Regardless, this topic is about Millenaire, and more specifically the picture I made.

Forge's selling point is an extended API which keeps you from having to modify common base classes for most of the stuff you need, and helps with interoperability between mods. Modloader does the same, but for different stuff.

I'm not entirely sure what you think Forge is for, but there is a point to it.
Not that we're using it, but Futurecraft is pretty unique.

My history with forge was far from perfect :[ . Getting things working with it does weird stuff to me, I even had a phantom portals mod installation once, appearing from nowhere (or at least forge believed there is and continuously crashed the game)

You're crazy. Forge is the best thing to happen to Minecraft modding since MCP, providing an API for everything to latch on to, one more robust than Risugami's solution (and in fact any mods designed for it will work with Forge, too). The only reason you say this is because Flowerchild dislikes it, and even his vendetta is due to personal grievances with the Forge team and has nothing with the API itself.

Didn't want to log in, but this statement is so idiotic I think it's worth the trouble.
