I tried to install it and then I couldn't connect to minecraft.net. Anyone else having this problem or did I mess up something?

I finished a small airstrip and took off in a bomber, then I crashed in the jungle and it appears that crashed the server.

No need. It already did for some unexplained reason and it'll be a while till it's up again as I no longer have physical access to the machine.
