Can I be granted OPSHIP? There are never any ops on and I think I frequent the server more than most.

Who actually does have OP rights on the server?

I do and Keon does. He went AWOL on us though, so...I do, I guess.

Anyone think I should install the Movecraft plugin?

Nay. It lags the server and most of our stuff's too big anyway.

Barely anyone gets on anymore.

Any chance there could be a 'survival' world that's where people spawn by default and advertise as a PVP Factions server while reserving the build world for the seven or so confirmed FC members that get on regularly?

The server isn't manly enough to run a true PvP world as well as the existing creative sprawl. In particular, VoxelSniper and WorldEdit have a high RAM usage that would cause unbearable lag spikes as far as PvP goes. If I can get some donations from the community, though, I should be able to upgrade it.

If we have a crazy man among us with a fuckton of money, we could get a dedicated server box with 16GB of RAM capable of running a superior Skylands server AND hosting this website. See the Enderdragon package.

If I were to run a commercial server in addition to the existing world, I'd want at LEAST the Skeleton package.

http://minecrafted.net has dedicated sandy bridge boxes for 59 a month, if that's the best option here. I've heard barely anything bad about them save for the time they take to set up servers since it's not automated.

For a Skylands server, I think one of their lower tier plans might suffice, though. 4gb at 5 a gig isn't too cost prohibitive, I'll probably try that for a month and see how it goes, as I've tried out their demo server and at 1gbps the loading is silky-smooth (which is going to be the main source of latency from the Movecraft/Autocraft plugins). That'd probably work well enough for a Futurecraft community PVP server, too.

I'm thinking a public server if we want to do PvP. 6 GB is probably better in that case. Also, is their data usage unlimited?

They be unlimited, as far as I can tell.

I think I could rent the 4gb one and see how it goes, then the next billing period it could be upgraded to 6 if need be. How many months did you pay off the Avengecraft server for, again?

Until July.
