This is about one third of my total LEGO.
It is 80cm at its widest and about 120cm long, with the highest point at 15cm.

If we're just talking about total LEGO pieces, none of my tubs of loose bricks are in those pictures. I have cubic meters of them.Vinyl wrote:This is about one third of my total LEGO.It is 80cm at its widest and about 120cm long, with the highest point at 15cm.Spoiler:

Re: Star Wars LEGOs
I have about 1.5 cubic meters of loose parts, as well as a number of fully-made sets. Most of the sets are either from the City or System lines. I think the biggest one I have is the passenger plane released in ~2008 (don't remember the set number), and my favorite sets would probably be 6536 Aero Hawk (mainly due to nostalgia) and my extensively modified instance of 4435 Car and Camper.

A car and camper set modified by an FC member? I expect it to have a jump drive and fire missiles.Tau wrote:I have about 1.5 cubic meters of loose parts, as well as a number of fully-made sets. I have no idea how much. I know it's worth a lot more than I've spent on it, because I've had most of them for long enough that the sets are discontinued, but figuring out exactly how much would be a difficult task. Many thousands of dollars, though.Daynel wrote:Also that must be worth a fortune.

I remember hacking together minions, dropships, spaceships, all sorts of stuff with the generic lego bits. You seem to prefer kits, though.
To each his own, I guess.

"I don't know sir! They must have hyperjets on that thing!"
"Well find them catch them!"
*On intercom* "Prepare ship for light speed!"
I am envious of you all. I only have two of those really old, small tubs full of Legos. We cannot afford them really.

Re: Star Wars LEGOs
My brother takes care of our loose parts we have while I store the completed models.
I mostly buy sets, because they have the special parts I need for my builds, but after some time, they eventually get disassembled and their parts reused for original builds.
In total it propably ammounts to about 1.5-2 cubic meters of parts.

I've never been big on building custom models. A couple of times I've altered the builds a little bit to make them more accurate, but not very often. I've been meaning to go and replace all the black on Jek-14's fighter with New Republic grey and orange to get a real E-wing, though. That would be the most extensively custom thing I'd have.T.O. Re: Star Wars LEGOs
As I said, to each his own; any kits I had in the past were disassembled after a brief period to be used for original models of various things. I think I had an anti-orbital cannon built from some Star Wars, city, generic, and at least two Halo parts at one point.
But keeping completed kits around? Just assembling something via instructions is a bit... eh, to me.

Re: Star Wars LEGOs
Indeed after I build a model and the novelty wears off it eventually finds itself modified or disassembled and placed elsewhere.

Re: Star Wars LEGOs
I once built a fish out of one and a half cubic metres of bionicle parts. It was an awesome fish, it could swallow things. Was colored like a rainbow, though, and I used parts in partially heretical ways in mostly heretical places.

Don't tell anybody, but to this day I have a faint hope for Futurecraft, or something similar to it, to happen. Within my lifetime.
