Consider the following

So recently a popular brony blog by the name of "Ask Princess Molestia" has been taken down by it's creator. I already wrote a long post about it on tumblr so i'm not going to explain it. If you wan't to know about this look it up.

I will say thought that at it's basic.
Feminists were unhappy because the blog portrayed rape as an ok thing. Bronies are just enjoying a fun/funny blog about sexy ponies.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on it. Weather they be positive or negative, however please abide by the forum rules and do not post hate messages.

I don't think it's been confirmed yet, but supposedly the blog owner took it down because they got a cease-and-desist letter from Hasbro. IIRC, there are some legal protections against this sort of thing (it qualifies as fair use and [to somewhat of an extent] as a 'transformative work' - there's a bit more info
here), but it's perfectly understandable that the owner either a) was not aware of this, or b) just didn't want to bother with all of that.
Also, I happened to enjoy the blog and supported its continued activity.

I personally know about 10 other tumblr pony blogs which are more offensive.
There is no reason anyone would have picked Molestia, especially considering it was only ever meant as a comedy blog and a breeding ground for shippings.

If they got a cease and desist from Hasbro, that's totally fair. I wouldn't want my kid's show getting known for pony rape, and I think that Hasbro have been pretty much angels for not stomping out any and all brony sites for ruining their reputation.

Found a bit more info. Apparently the blog owner didn't receive a cease and desist, but rather Hasbro contacted Tumblr and had them take it down due to copyright issues (apparently the blog got too popular for their liking). It had nothing to do with pony rape.

To be honest I really didn't see it as rape. Most of the ponies just seemed uncomfortable but enjoyed it in the end.

I rest my case, Luna. Pony * got too creepy, fanbase got too creepy, it got removed. That's a risk.

I just spat my tea at the computer screen.

I'm tempted to request lock, this is getting really creepy.
Anyways, it's Hasbro's IP, it's Hasbro's choice. You, and the owners of the blog, have no legal foundation to stand on, at least not in my pitiful understanding of legal concepts.

*giggles and runs away*
Alright let me say this differently. There really is no good way to put this. We simply enjoyed the blog because it was fun and light hearted. We meant no harm or bad intentions. We just liked the comedy and fun of it. Not to mention that the attention was getting latched onto Luna. I should probably stop posting as I cannot express my views on this well. Lock is fine, i'd rather you not but if you feel it is necessary go ahead.

Tau, I've read the fair use thing on the government's copyright website, it does not fall under the fair use clause, from what I understood, so Hasbro did have the right to order it to be taken down.

Firstly, I believe that's called Stockholm syndrome.
Secondly, what the actual fuck?
