Youtube blocks ASCII art.

Post by addseo2015 » Tue Jul 23, 2013 10:38 am

I have no idea why. and I wasn't even trying to make ASCII art, I was trying to put an elongated Ellipsis on a comment.
What is up with Google these days?

First they make youtube a social network site and then this, the fact I cant watch a playlist off the channel was bad enough, now the internet's designed for smartphone users. next they'll be telling me the Soyuz control panel has been exchanged for a single touchscreen that displays this:

And the chrome dictionary is obviously 1st edition Dr Johnson with a few Google products added; and even then they only work capitalised. the add to dictionary feature is worse than Word 2003's (in my experience).

Also: does anyone know how to get rid of the thing where it closes down all tabs as soon as you hit the X button, the only reason I use this thing is because internet explorer has more lag than a netbook, and I've had to run internet explore on a netbook.

Oh another thing, I had adblock plus enabled and a youtube ad still came up. I need something more potent.

Just update your ad definitions list. Adblock is essentially a giant black-list of advertisers, so you need to keep it up to date to catch the newcomers. The only site where this may not be the case is Blip, but they are a special kind of asshole.

Think it is possible to create an ad block that doesn't count as ad block (or in other words rob the advertisers couse it's money down the toilet anyway ... like everyone benefits apart from the one who paid for it which couldn't profit from it in the first place, I always wondered who the hell is the idiot that pays for those "You are 100,000,000,000,000 visitor of this freaking forum nobody reads !" ads if they got actually paid for)

These ads do seem too be a black hole, if you are genuinely dumb enough to fall for them, then chances are you are probably incapable of using a computer in the first place.
