Ok, your case doesn't need to be the most expensive thing, really it shouldn't be...

Also if you're planning on gaming with this thing you are gonna need a graphics card. A good GPU is gonna be around 100-200 bucks, and you can go nVidia or AMD on those.

Processor: the one you have looks fine to me. Just don't get an AMD FX series ones, those were a flop. The A10 is a good choice.

That motherboard has 2 pci x16 slots, so you could crossfire/SLI graphics cards in the future, a feature most motherboards are missing.

Everything else looks goo just reduce the budget on the case down to somewhere around 40 or 50 bucks and spend that money on a graphics card. Maybe a radeon 7850 or an nVidia GTX 650ti/660/760 everything is at weird prices right now.

I have consulted the oracle, and from the depths of the void have retrieved the optimum, most cost efficient build.

CPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819116491
Motherboard - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131971
RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231686
GPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814132010 (note, you need three of these to get good performance. they're cheap though so not much of an issue)
HDD - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820167059
PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817438004

optical drive is fine.

I would like to highlight a few words used in your post: Cost Efficient, and Cheap.

Now I would like to highlight a few of the prices: GPU: $3,499.99 RAM: $1,599.99 CPU: $1,069.99 I am NOT a millionaire, thank you very much.

I also don't like ASUS, and Intel.

You don't need to be a millionaire to get these parts, these are literally entry level components. Much cheaper than your original build, which couldn't run Starcraft Brood War, anyway.

I don't like brussel sprouts. Looks like we're both out of luck.

All I will say is that the Tesla is worth it's weight in gold. I am pretty sure that is how they priced it, as well.
