We can 3D print guns ans engines however (well the individual parts)
Actually, come to think of it, 3D printing is just binvoxing IRL

Re: Sites countering adblock
3D printing has nowhere near the output or efficiency of traditional means for mass production, but for custom one-time parts it circumvents a ton of manufacturing overhead. I think the best example of this is the rocket fuel injector NASA 3D printed. Compared to the conventional manufacturing method, which spends a year on that single part, the printing method completed the part in 4 months and at <30% the cost.
...You know what? We should have 3D printers in FC. That would be awesome.

I know the bloodhound is using 3D printers for some of its parts.
And I thought the shipyard was basically going to be a big 3D printer anyway

It's more of an assembler. You need the blocks and parts on-hand.

Re: Sites countering adblock
I've always been disappointed in people who use adblock. However, today I realized why it is sometimes necessary. Youtube is not only giving me ads in the videos, but it's also giving me ads next to the video, with sound, that I CAN'T MUTE.
Day 1 of adblock: satisfied.
