Best name I ever had was the original name of the Beluga class, the HMS dumpingbird, and no I didn't choose that name, but it stuck.

I use hybrids of latin, generic names, and some other assorted stuff.
I mean, CWFG Kiss My Ass just doesn't have the right ring to it.

I name my ships after "famous" gamers, places (fictional or otherwise), or whatever is floating around my brain that isn't obscene.

EDIT: My favorite name on that list is

This is why I argued against length limitations in the ideas thread for ship names on the old forum.
