RL-military

It appears our main focus of discussion is kinda militaristic, so I thought, why not talk about RL-military equipment/armies?
It could even output some inspirations for the RP or the mod itself.

I start with... the Bundesheer (AKA Austrian army)
website, altough everything is german, so many people won´t understand it.
Wikipedia page for non-english speakers.

They do a pretty good job presenting themselves as professionals, but the truth is there´s not much they could do if Austria was actually attacked.

Some stats:

Yes, the AV-88 harrier if you mean comparable as in it has VTOL, unfortunately it was retired right before Libya kicked off.

Comparable in the dependencies of what?
Army, Air Force or Navy?
Because if it´s Army or Air Force, the J-31 has already won.
In terms of navy, well, counting that VTOL is actually a rather small bonus IRL,
propably this one:

This one maybe:

I've actually met one of the engineers who designed part of the cockpit for this.

The Eurofighter?
...yeah, they´re agile, have very efficient controls and can also do ground attacks, but there is no naval version, and CvN propably meant the naval version (as it´s the only version that is more "awesome" than the F-22)

Ramjets? Only aircraft I know that uses those (well not quite but something similar, a little more complicated) is the SR-71 Blackbird, it isn't quite a ramjet, but it is similar.

Although I believe the Germans were trying to use these in the later stages of WWII, but I don't think any got anywhere.

Scramjet, sorry.

One of my favorite "Get to space quick" ideas is to have a scramjet engine as a bullet and fire it down a tube of jet fuel.

Scramjet is something similar, it's just a jet engine, but without the compressor bit, cause you go so fast you the air is already compressed when it goes in right?

A scramjet will get you up to space, but once you run our of atmosphere, you are screwed, unless you have something like what the guys making skylon are doing, IDK how that works.
