American pilots with guns can't land in other countries because other countries are more civilized, and don't allow guns. -Ivan, paraphrased

Well our planes got guns (!) and a detachment with assault rifles on the ground around the plane (!) and our own security checks before plane boarding. (In case you fly on one of these I recommend not to lock your luggage because they ARE going to inspect it one way or another ...) . There is also a countermeasure system and a turret to shoot down incoming rockets. If THAT thing is allowed to land in almost all countries in the world I doubt there is a problem with giving Murican pilots special permission to carry AK-47s with them. Only problem being AK-47s are a stupid weapon to use in a cockpit (ignoring all the delicate equipment that might get filled with holes its generally too long to be useful in such confined space).

Agreed. Shotguns or submachine guns are more useful in an aircraft. Possibly plastic or rubber rounds to prevent punching holes in the fuselage (and passengers).

Better just mount a browning 50 cal with a shortened barrel in the cockpit facing the back wall. After all with the shit they confiscate from you everyone must be a terorist anyway. So arguably there are no such things as "civilian casualties".

I propose MP7's, cus MP7's are fucking awesome in every way.
Would be better than shotguns, too, cus more accurate, so you don't accidentally the passengers.

They probs do that in Russia. I here they have missile defense systems that make our ICBMs obsolete.

Hence why nukes. Get shot down? Spread radiation everywhere!

actually, no
only really if it's a dirty nuke, normal nukes are fairly... meh about radiation if they're shot down before detonating themselves.

Hence why we use the Ghandi method. Fire nukes until they run out of bullets.

This thread is dead, but it's worth noting that I boarded an airplane in Rock Sound in the Bahamas today without going through any kind of security at all. Checked bags were carried directly to the airplane; they made the people walk though a metal detector, but somebody in front of me set it off and the agent just waved him on, and carry-on bags were passed around the side of the metal detector and not opened. I could have had a grenade launcher and nobody would've looked at me twice.

Well, then again, how likely is it for there to be a terrorist cell in the bahamas...
