Should I Be Concerned?

My 14 year old sister has been watching a lot of anime lately. It's all she watches. When she has control of the radio in the car, she plays her own music which, although is sung in English, she proudly calls "Japanese". Now she's trying to learn to play her "Japanese" music on the piano and is attempting to learn Japanese. She's rejecting American culture and I'm afraid she might be becoming a weeaboo. What should I watch out for and what should I know just in case her condition worsens?

You are too late, she is already a weeaboo, you can only hope for her to remain in this state.

Final stages of weeaboo to watch out for:
repeatedly and consistently refering to fictional characters as "senpai", "waifu" or similar.
redecoration of the entire room themed after anime
excessive playing of japanese dating sims
self-description as "otaku", this is the final stage of the weeaboo, where they become self-concious of being a weeaboo but can no longer express it in non-weeaboo terms. May require professional psychological support.

Well, either way, the best thing you can do is try and prevent it from getting worse. For example, sabotage each and every attempt of her to color her hair animu-stylu

Well man TBH jap culture is WAAAY COOLER than eating hamburgers all day :P . Even if you were to be concerned / upset about it for some reason I doubt its gonna have any effect on her ... FFS were gamers here yeah ? Like telling you games have a "terrible effect on the youth" or something ever stopped you, you prob consider this statement an old geezer's ramble anyway.

Actually Im quite curious how the hell did she stumble across anime ... Does she watch Sailor Moon all day or something ?

Japanese culture might be interesting, but weeaboos are not. I am not a weeaboo treatment specialist, unfortunately, but I can reccommend you attempt to disrupt any attempt to fall further into the weeaboo.

If this is unsuccessful, damage control will be required. May the gods ha e mercy on her soul.

She's a weeaboo, any god(s) that possibly exist have already forsaken her.

As I've been attempting to convey, it's best you burn her now. Also doubles as barbecue night, so there's that too.

Iv, have you ever tasted hamburgers? They're great. I mean, I'm not denying south-Asian food is good, cus it's great too, but so are hamburgers.
Japanese culture is quite neat in that exotic way, but it's also shit in other ways. Just like how the Japanese fucking adore America, blissfully ignorant of for example the racism and stuff. Or maybe the racism is why they like it, they're quite racist themselves.

Any way, for the subject at hand, let's refer to the handy guide "So your sister might be a weeabo" by Dr. Dayn, PhD in everything.
Let's start with warning signs.

Most weeabos start out with something called anime, a certain genre of Japanese animation. Most anime is ridiculous and stupid, but there is also good anime, like Pokémon (allegedly) and those movies by that Japanese anime movie maker guy who made for example that Totoro movie (which I watched the other day and it was kinda cute actually). And probably a few other things too. 90% of anime, tho, is stupid and I don't know why Americans love it so much. Possibly from being introduced to it at a young age, I hear it's quite popular in the States.
You stated that anime is all she watches, so this one is a definite yes.

Other things can be anime posters and other merch, using japanese terms commonly associated with anime (like waifu, senpai, baka, yandere, tsundere, and some more I can't remember), dying ones hair in vivid colours or expressing a wish to do so (cus anime lead characters tend to have unnatural hair colours), listening to anime music (or just japanese pop music in general, although this alone might not mean weeabo), openly claiming japanese culture is better than american culture (while in fact cultures are rarely "better" or "worse" than each other), wishing to learn japanese, and generally wishing they were japanese instead of, say, American. Note that expressing attraction towards japanese people is rarely a direct sign of weeabo, cus finding hot japanese girls to be hot is, like, the most common fetish. One of the most common, anyway.

Your sister might indeed be a weeabo. Now, I'm no doctor, just kidding I'm totally a doctor of everything. Anyway I suggest you talk to her about it. Ask her why she thinks American culture sucks and Japanese culture rules. If her answers are illogical, try to calmly reason with her. For example, if she says something like "Well all americans are stupid" or something, tell her that only some Americans are stupid, and that's mostly because of the poor educational system and the infusion of religion into education and even the government. If nothing works, like if she's being typically 14-year-old and unable to reason, just wait a few years for her to regret every day of her 14-year-old life. Trust me, I was a 14 year old once, and I have a 14-year-old brother. 14-year-olds are fucking stupid, and it's probably just a phase.

If you were to need more advice, please contact Archduke Dr. Daynel, super legit PhD of all the things. I'm on Steam and Skype and the forum has a PM system.
