Put someone from the FC community in charge as Lead Construction Supervisor.

I'll begin designs for a half biological spacecraft. I want something that reflects modern culture and society. Something that says something meaningful to people. What flashes through my mind is something similar to the ships of the Amar in EVE.

I want to take it a step further though. I want the ship's main structure to be made out of human flesh. What do you think would happen if I connected the nervous systems of multiple people? Or several million? I searched "biological spaceship" on google and found this.

Beautiful. It'll be a few million people held together by a paste made from melted human skin. My theory is that if we give it a year in atmosphere and make sure everyone's mouths have access to clean oxygen, and are regularly fed and watered, eventually everyone will sort of grow together: Their nervous systems and with the help of an expensive team of a few hundred surgeons, so will their circulatory and respiratory systems. I don't know if one brain could handle a mile long spacecraft of biological functions so we may need to keep more than one after the growing together bit is done. Oh well. I was inspired by the flood egg bubble things from Halo so I think I'll remove the lungs and rebuild them in the form of big flesh bubbles that expand and deflate as the ship breathes.

I'll grow some new bones for it as well so I can build cool stuff like these flood portholes.

I'll connect the creature to a fusion engine. It will be kept warm by the excess heat from the reactor and it will breathe liquid oxygen which will be continuously pumped into it's bubble lungs. Not sure how to feed it yet though. Hopefully we discover alien life soon so that it can eat that.

AFAIK those portholes are a type of sphincter, and therefore muscle, not bone.
