Major Storm Happening

Biggest storm in 5 years (which isn't saying much) is happening tomorrow. School is cancelled and I'm going to be inside all day. Predicted winds up to 80mph (129 kmph). Should be fun.

Holy shit that is a strong storm.
Last time we had a very strong storm, last winter I think, it only reached those speeds on a nearby mountain, Stekenjokk. (It's a sami name so no I don't know what it means)
That storm was still enough to blow down a fuckload of trees all over and leave us without power or phones for.. I think 3 or 4 days.

Pretty much all houses here are primarily made of wood, reinforced with concrete. And those stand up to this sort of weather reasonably well. So yeah, it'll be loud and scary, but she'll live.

Storm Journal Entry 1: The winds started yesterday, I'm sure they were no where near 80 mph but that much was expected. They were very loud though. They lasted through the night and calmed down now. The fence has been blown over as expected :/

We have a lot more lakes than I thought.

Also, I think I can see Lake Lure there. I live 15 minutes away, yay.
