I laughed at this:

But in all seriousness we do need to get the forum post under control and tell people we have basically abandoned hope for the core mechanics of Futurecraft. But that they can check out Prototypes pack if they want.

Looked over the other day. Someone though I was ripping off FutureCraft with my packs. I'm still laughing.

Nah, let them hope. Don't tell them anything. Let them sit there and hope to one day slaughter each other in blocky spaceships. Who knows, they even might.

Or we could just tell them to buy Space Engineers.

Or redirect them to Proto's pack.

Sounds like a plan! Who here remembers their MC Forums password? You know, so they can log in and tell everyone.

I never had a MCforums account even.
And tbh I'm not sure I'd even play Futurecraft if it actually became a thing.
Really, Star Citizen is pretty much Futurecraft gameplay-wise, except for it not being Minecraft and being better than FC could ever be.

Well whole point was the building part Ivan, otherwise you got countless space combat sims, the further you go back the better they are actually.

Well, then you got Space Engineers.

With further go back, do you mean stuff like...
Wing Commander?
Privateer?
Freelancer?

But yea, the building part would have been a defining feature, but I think I like SC's economy system more than Minecraft-style construction for gameplay.

Yeah, I'd never manage to build anything better than a flying turd anyway.

Well its just a diff set of mind, it is just as about being an engineer as it is about being a pilot, have you never dreamed that your lego plane you built would suddenly fly ? Same kind of satisfaction. If building is not for you then FC (and MC) are prob not for you either, there are just games that excel in other gameplay elements much more than those to are.

Yeah, I do agree with that.
But as I said, Space Engineers.
And Starmade.

Starmade is not remotley where I would have hoped for , same for space engineers. TBH for now I dont expect as much from SM , as for SE I can't really tell.
