I'm really happy with yesterday's Star Wars Rebels

Anyone else watching this? The first three episodes were mediocre, and I'd pretty much given up on it going anywhere good in the near future, but this last episode was as good as a good episode of SW:TCW. Better plot, somewhat better dialogue, the Inquisitor looks great, quick mention of Base Delta Zero operations, which are a great thing to throw back into canon (also, it was in the form of a joke that only people who recognized that term would understand. I heartily approve), and ultimately none of the old EU was broken--I know that doesn't really matter anymore, but I still wince whenever it happens. It's fantastic to see that this might end up contributing positively to the franchise as a whole.

I refuse to even consider anything other than the trilogy and some of the EU (maybe the prequels if someine kills jar-jar) canon.

So nada.

Well... you're welcome to think that, I guess? But it isn't correct. They're very clear now on what's canon and what isn't, and Rebels is.

Personally, Disney cutting the EU was the point where I essentislly said "fuck this shit" and started completely ignoring "official" canon.

Because cutting out the badassery of Thrawn, reducing Rogue Squadron to a once-mentioned team of redshirts, having Isard and her Magnificent Bastardry vanish into the aether, and nuking the Rebels v. Empire war post-RotJ was *obviously* such an amazing idea.
