So we need topics. I like guns. You all probably like guns too. So have a gun topic.
Talk about guns, talk about what guns would be cool in the future, anything from pistols to railway cannons.

The H&K MP-7 is the best submachine gun there is, you can't prove me wrong.

Is best revolver, sure, but it's not the best gun.
Even for a handgun, a Glock, Colt 1911 or CZ 75 is much better.

Seeing as the A-10 is getting decommissioned, why don't we take the Gau-8s and put them in a tank or something.. Replace a 120mm barrel with 8 30mm,
8 x 30 = 240
240 > 120

Therefore it is more dakka.

Take fifteen of those and make them shoot explosive plasma charges, put them on a tank. A big ass tank. Pretty plese.

FALSE The A-10 program is back to fight ISIS.

They've been on the decomissioning schedule for about 2 decades now, and everytime they actually want to decomission them, there's some war where they're the most effective weapon platform in the US arsenal.

I sense the conspiracy theorists coming.

Also, FAL is best battle rifle. And C14 is best sniper rifle. You all you muck around with submachine guns and assault rifles if you like, I'mma go knock off targets at 700 meters.

The only guns I know in detail are from Halo.
SRS99 is best gun, I mean, you can take precision shots from 2km. Plus it fires 14.5mm rounds.

I don't know much about guns... but, I like planes

I like sci-fi guns

I also go shotgun shooting every December.

Laser sniper rifles can be cool, if we're doing the sci-fi.

Well you don't always have a 700 meter line of sight to the target and a sniper rifle is sorta worthless at close range.
Sure, if you want to blow someone's head off from a distance and you have a clear line of sight, a sniper rifle is awesome. But if you're infiltrating a hostile area, or if the battlefield is at an urban location, the targets will probably be rather close.
If it's a mostly open area, like say a street or something, assault rifles are great; they pack a good punch, have good range and accuracy and a high rate of fire. But if you're inside a building, a submachine gun works better, unless the opposition has decent armor.

This is where the MP-7 is great. It has everything that makes a submachine gun so good; It's light and portable, and it has a high rate of fire. But it's also very accurate for an SMG, especially with the retractable butt stock, and it can punch through armor.
