This is now a linguistics thread.

What features would you like to add to the English language (or any language in general)?

¿How about upside-down question marks?

What feature would I like to add? I'd like to change the tag on the end to "Sole language of humanity".
We might be able to finally get some shit done if everyone speaks English. Then to just have the American government get off its ass and convert to metric finally.

Should also like review the English language. Remove those hidden sounds.
Srsly like half the language isn't pronounced.

You can blame the french for most of that, A lot of words like that came from when some French guy took over England.

Then there's words spelled different but pronounced the same, then words that have special pronunciations. Bleh.

France's official language authority refuses to recognize 'e-mail' as a valid word, instead forcing all governmental institutions to say 'courier electronique'. Same with a lot of other 'slang' words, including their 'twerk' equivalent (don't remember off the top of my head).

And their spelling is bizarre.

I hate French.

I'd like to see the letter thorn(Þ, þ) returned to the English language. The sound it makes is th, like the or there.

At least it sounds nice, but other than that it's as useless as the rest of the country.

English has the highest information rate of any language so far, so English therefore needs to be the primary language. Which means Mandarin has got to go.

On the other hand, Ascii pictures are much more diverse with mandarin, so it's 1:1 for now.
