Well shit. At 2.5 bil and with Microsoft you might as well say goodbye to the Playstation MC (oh we'll consoles suck anyway) and Microsoft is probably going to milk every last penny from minecraft before dumping it's shriveled husk on the side of the road in four years.

I was horrified, but honestly I'd be surprised if Microsoft can abuse Minecraft much more than Jeb and Co. already have.

This basically. Bukkit is pretty much getting dissolved to be replaced by something from Monang themselves. And there's rumours about shit going down over at forge, but I don't know about those.

If we lose forge we're fucked.

They're trying to replace Forge with some official stuff, but since Minecraft is sold to Microsoft now, chances are they're trying to make up the money they paid with DLCs or something.

Live for using options? That's exactly what Microsoft would do.

Apparently Microsoft has told shareholders they expect to have made their money back by the second fiscal quarter of 2015. The only way that could possibly happen is if they really are planning on announcing a sequel to Minecraft in the very near future.

By continuing Steven's story, and also using the Mass Effect past-influences-future thing.

Buy out all the major mods like Flans, Aether, IC2, ect, and make them microtransactions with a ~50p fee. They also are probably going to ban mods entirely, and make in game ads, along with raising the price and making cross platform comp and xbawx work for a fee.
