Animu Thread 2: Electric Boogaloo

For all those among us who watch animu or read mangos.

My official recommendation list, which includes all animu I have watch, with a short spoiler about it. Crudely alphabetized.

Angel Beats!
Spoiler:
Yes, the exclamation point is actually part of the title, not just my enthusiasm. I really liked Angel Beats, and regardless as to what kind of soulless brony you are, I recommend it to you. If you watch any animu from this list, Angel Beats should be it.
Akame Ga Kill
Spoiler:
It's still being released, so it isn't finished as of the writing of this, but insofar it has been breddy gud. A fairly interesting concept, like Japanese assassin's creed but with less parkour and hoods.
Arpeggio of Blue Steel
Spoiler:
Naval combat is always good. This was fairly good overall. Submarine combat is always good.
Baka and Test
Spoiler:
I still haven't figured out why I enjoyed this. It was fairly good overall, mind, but it was a fairly unique concept and could've gone wrong plenty of times, but was strangely enjoyable.
Bamboo Blade
Spoiler:
The gifs get me everytim. Good anime though.
Chaika
Spoiler:
Shit was pretty god damn cash. Seriously though, it was good. Also Chaika is Russian word.
Clannad
Spoiler:
Wasn't really my type of animu, being slice of life(I think), but was fairly good. Very well known, it's by the same people who made Angel Beats, and a lot of people got emotional over both. If you like slice of life, you'll enjoy Clannad.
Date A Live
Spoiler:
Ehhhhhhhh... It's ok. Good enough for me to watch the first season, not good enough for the second.
Danshi Kōkōsei no Nichijō
Spoiler:
Surprisingly good. No action, but for comedy it is pretty good.
Elfen Lied
Spoiler:
Many limbs were lost in the making of this animu. Feel-y enough, but also pretty messed up. If someone does watch it, I would appreciate it if they would tally up the total number of body parts(limbs, head, ect) lost.
Gurren Lagann
Spoiler:
A staple of any animu-watcher's animu. A classic. Ect. Go watch it, it's good; picks up more after the first few episodes.
Hatoaraku Maou-Sama
Spoiler:
It was a show. idfk.
Infinite Stratos
Spoiler:
It's all fanservice, but it does have mechs. One of the times when dub is completely, 100%, undeniably better than the sub; because accents.
Kill la Kill
Spoiler:
It's..... definitely interesting. Fairly alright.
Little Busters
Spoiler:
In the process of watching, insofar it is good. Also by Key, the people who made Angel Beats and Clannad.
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Spoiler:
Got reboot'd fairly recently, new graphics and all. It's what it says on the box.
No Game No Life
Spoiler:
It's pretty good. Not much else to say, really.
Outbreak Company
Spoiler:
Roughly similar in concept to No Game No Life, but suckier.
Rail Wars
Spoiler:
Like Akame Ga Kill, it's still being released as I write this. It's about trains; very unique concept. More action-y than expected, fairly good.
Sword Art Online
Spoiler:
First half of the first season was fantastic; it just goes downhill from there.
Spice and Wolf
Spoiler:
It's serious.... business. Get it? It's about business. Other than that, it's fairly typical romance animu.
Attack on Titan
Spoiler:
Everyone already knows what it is.
Toradora
Spoiler:
It's romance. Actually fairly quality. Directly after I watched it, my opinion was pretty meh, but after some thought, it was breddy damn good.
Watamote
Spoiler:
I can't really believe that I struggled through this. It wasn't very good. I cringed all the way through.
Yukikaze
Spoiler:
By the people who made Ace Combat. It's confusing as hell until you realize nothing matters except fighter jet battle scenes.
Probably forgot a few, please suggest your own, I have run out of animu.

ACH, you mentioned a thing a while ago.

What was that one anime that you said was made by the same people who made Ace Combat?

Rail Wars ? Someone watches that crap ?

Well if we are talking about this summer's anime releases I added a new title to my recommendation list (throwing out most other crap besides Akame Ga kill), that is Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (Monthly Shoujo Nozaki-Kun). Why did I like it ? Even though I consider some stuff funny that stuff rarely makes me giggle, that show made me laugh, nuff said.

It had a fine concept and superior execution, worth every second spent on it. The story is about a girl who confesses her love to some dude (who happens to be a Shoujo Manga artist with shoujo manga being Jap romance comics for girls) but her confession is so awkward he mistakes it for a request and takes her as an assistant to draw his manga instead (Turning her love literally into a shoujo manga as the title of the first episode says), and hell is our Nozaki-Kun a true artist with all that derives from it if you know what I mean, pff creative personalities ...

Apparently I moved from merely watching anime out of curiosity to pretty much watching it cuz I like teh anime itself ! (Prob watched too much of it ... )

You seem to be missing a category. Sports.

My favourites are
Free! Iwatobi Swim Club/Eternal Summer
and
Haikyuu!!

You should check them out.

Non Sports wise I like Zankyou no Terror and Tokyo Ghoul seems nice so far. You should check those out too.

I assume that's a rhetorical question.

I'm fully caught up on znt and tg. I do definitely reccomend them.

I also liked Ao no Exorcist, and fma+fma:b but I assume if you're here you've probably watched fma.

As one of the few forumers not obsessed with anime, this.

Well I wouldnt go as far as saying Im obsessed, giving a recommendation on an anime is in fact not that diff from giving a recommendation on a movie, how many movies did you watch recently ?
