Jedi, I understand your concern, but your backseat moderation isn't really necessary. If someone complains, I'll look into removing the thread, but until then, it's probably fine.

Consider this a formal complaint, then. "Backseat moderation" may not be necessary, and certainly hasn't accomplished anything, but if you think I'm going to stop being myself just because my name's not colored anymore you've got another think coming. I still don't know why my Moderator position was taken from me, but I accept that I can't fix that. I will not accept being told that that means I shouldn't try to see that the forum I've enjoyed for two years remains an enjoyable place to be, not even by you, Error. This kind of thing would never have been allowed on the forum we all joined.

So long as this sort of thing is the exception rather than the rule I see no reason to actively give a shit. Unless it turns into a shitstorm, in which case I'll be mildly fucked off with those involved.

Like it or not - probably not - the forum and epople on it are different. For one, our rules are community-chosen and (to a frightening extent) community-(non)enforced. Folks here are normally good about not being idiots, so it's not as bad as it could be.

But your attitude (and apparent desire to lay down the rules with a very big stick) are unecessary. IIRC, you were un-moderatored because a number of people thought you were overly strict on enforcing the rules (you are rather unyielding).

If you're going to officially complain, please either post here or PM me why you're complaining and what you think the infraction that should be removed/altered/punished is.

Really, though, I have to side with Jedi. I half-read CMA's post but, since it's CMA's and I read the words "feminism," "socialist," and "Sweden,"I can guess that it's unnecessarily blatantly insulting, pretentious, baiting, or attention-seeking. Not that I think moderation powers need to be involved.

As far as I can tell it's from someone else, and he found the whole ASS thing amusing.

But CMA and good taste were never really an item, were they?

Backstory: Some woman sucked off a bunch of guys in Spain for free drinks, was subsequently called a *, and of course Tumblr jumped to her rescue. Whoever the screenshot this is of was defending said 'bastion of feminine power,' and for some gender-bashing, privilege-denying reason beyond my ken, decided to set his location to... A.S.S.

It's a Swede being dumb and saying something funny, nothing more, nothing less. Also, Jedi, do you have Autism or Aspergers syndrome? I am seriously asking this question, because I don't want to be an asshole to someone who's burdened with that.
