Well well,do you guys know boffering?
Thats me. Codename: Coruja [Owl,in portuguese]

My trial to become a Brother of the Darksteel Order.

I am the guy with a orange and black tabard. The others,with a cross,are of higher ranking.

I'm not sure what this is, but with an owl-related code name, I am proud.

Its is called Boffering,swordplay with swords made of soft materials so we can beat one another without hurting a lot. A few bruises,but thats okay.

My "codename" is Owl because i have a Owl mask,a small owl totem and an featherly owl cloak that i use in Live Action Roleplay games [LAARP]

Your main prob is that you just rush in. Spears in general are defensive weapons, you use them to keep the enemy at the distance. Main prob with spears however is that once you made your attack you are either through and win or youre dead as the enemy deflects it and moves it out of the zone, when this happens you are wide open. More experienced ppl would prob abuse those openings much quicker, your opponents seemed to back off instead of pushing the gained advantage missing on opportunities to attack, that’s the theory behind spears for you, as to how actually do it you will have to research it yourself. For that reason BTW dual swords are your nemesis, it was seen very well in the vid. Basically abuse your range, let the enemy make the opening for you, strike, you are through ? GG, failed ? well GG too ...

Sounds rather close to what we call "Nerf sword fight"

and i am still a begginer on spear techniques. I study Naginata techs so i can cut better instead of the common "thrust with the spear!!!"

That is a glaive though not a spear .

Well...i like boffer.

I'm used to a different kind of boffing.

You may want something like titanium or tungsten instead of steel . Or use adamantium bruva

Heh, 'swordplay'.

I've always wanted to try boffering. Although I'd rather get into airsoft or paintball, to be honest. I like guns.
