Shouldn't Mojang be working on their game, which desperately needs it, supposedly because they haven't got enough people and those people don't have enough time?

Who'd want them to? Their data piles are heaps of useful for the Strigiforme Special Services.

I read their site earlier, looks like their primary goal is to try and undermine passive surveillance while leaving targeted active spying alone. Mainly through the promotion of secure software and protocols, apparently.

Isn't the whole point of passive surveillance to sniff out things for targeted surveillance? That's like saying "You can build a house, but, we're taking all the dirt".

I'd much rather build a house on bedrock than dirt.
