New video editing software?

Some bug in Windows Movie Maker has decided to wage a war on my videos, making them almost impossible to edit. Anybody know of a free one that can do all the stuff Windows Movie Maker can? All the free software I've come across are POS compared to the already POS editor.

I would also like to know a free video editor, or a video editor at all which I can pirate.

Is admitting to trying to pirate something against the rules? It's not like we're hosting files or anything.

I think his post was pretty self-explanatory in that regard.
Discussion isn't against the law, to the best of my knowledge, but it's more a matter of covering asses as much as possible.
As far as the OP, I recommend taking a look at

You can't pirate free things.
Trust me, I've tried.
Although if it's that much of an issue I can censor all instances of piracy.

Discussion is okay, if meh.
Links, direct references to the same, or talk of piracy websites are going to be slammed hard. Sorry, but ass-covering, y'know.

LJS stop trying to be a de facto mod.

IIRC the no Piracy rule was stuck on the old forum because Forumotion would nuke it if we were doing it.

I'm going to enforce here what I stated above.
So, don't talk about where to pirate or how and you're probably okay.

I kind of have to agree with Cats here(I know how tasteless mixing business and pleasure is), LJS is acting like a mod when he has no powers. Contrary to popular belief, laws/rules are made to help humans(and owls), not to exist for their own sake.

Surely you must be jesting, wouldn't that mean that the government exists for the good of the people too? I find this hard to believe, my dear sir.

I know it's a foreign concept, but think about it, it makes sense is a weird twisted way.

It is the responsibility of all forum members to see that the rules are upheld. If only the Moderators care about the rules, what you have is anarchy being barely restrained by those with powers, and if that's the situation you want why would you make rules in the first place? The problem here is that no-one
else complains when the rules are violated. So I say again: No. You can take away my Moderator powers, although I've never been given much of an explanation as to why, but you cannot make me stop caring about order on the forums.
