Super-struct! Come up with a well thought out plan that would majorly benefit any aspect of society that you think needs improved. The idea should be big enough that it would require the collaboration of two or more corporations / governments. For example, a popular one: Seed ATMs. Seeds of many different types would be placed in dispensers that are free, or simply require a penny to use. In a world where the younger generation are turning away from farming, causing food shortages across the globe, on which a billion people go hungry every day, this would fix food insecurity by promoting personal farms.
Feel free to edit each other's plans. Let's see what we can come up with :P

Everyone joining America and becoming the united earthy whatsit country, Death of political parties and international tensions. Money has one value, we could slowly weed everyone to one language. General world quality improves.

Fix the fucking education system. JUST FIX IT. I'd like it to not be based around a fucking test. Have it be based on what one needs to do to get the job one wants.

He has a point. Having everything under one roof would greatly increase the standard of living pretty much everywhere. Imagine a child in Somalia benefiting from welfare, or a Chinese teen being protected by universal healthcare. None of this regional sovereignty bullshit that just serves to create friction that slows down progress.

And it would help speed up government, Without having to impress all the other counties and the fact that military and police will merge, that would help move resources elsewhere such as research or improving shit.
And I'm pretty certain global labor laws would help a lot in third world countries.

The problem is that money doesn't come from air, you will become poorer by the same amount the Somalians will become richer, the USSR tried to put money into 3rd world countries and all it got was financial troubles and they did didn't even come close to equalizing their population with the 3rd world countries. Also bringing everyone under one roof will just change the type of friction from geo-political one to national for example, you will prob get a tremendous raise in racism and such, because people need someone to blame in all their misery. "ITS THE FREAKING IMMIGRANTS TOOK ALL OUR MONEY !" "ITS THE FREAKING MURICANS MAKE US INTO SLAVES AND FORCE US INTO LOW INCOME AREAS !" , both have a point but ultimately their fault in their situe is greater.

Well, there is still the point of only one nation ==> no big ass wars or threat thereof ==> everyone needs less money for military.

From intergovernmental to civil warfare, more likely.
Just reinforce the UN a whole bunch and make it work like it was intended, blam, there's a good place to start.
Though be aware solving humanity's problems will just create more. Because we're like that.

We'll the idea is that the majority of the world supports the idea of global unification. And nuking certain trouble areas wouldn't be all that bad in the long run…

Yes, global unification would be great but how? Peacefully or forcefully? I'd say the only way to do it right now is by force. Too many people in positions of power in other countries would be unwilling to give up that power... Unless you keep the borders and give the whole world a system similar to the United States's, with states watched over by a higher government, in this case the UN... Never mind. That's an offer that's already been given to many countries and they've turned it down... GAH. The only way to do it seems to be by conquest.
