Bath is called Bath because it is the site of one of the most complete Roman bathhouse complexes in the world. There are natural hot springs there, and the Romans designed their baths around them and the Temple of Sulis Minerva. The baths are still functional--the springs are still there, so there's still water flowing. They're a major tourist attraction. There are some other Roman structures as well, and an abbey dating to AD 675. The entire city is a World Heritage Site.

The bath there is god tier. Also, bath salts in a bath tub in bath.

Back on topic when I visited Bath it was qute a nice place, very different to Bridtol which is a bit of a shithole. Didn't see any of the Roman stuff but I heard about it

Never been outside of continental Europe, so I can't really say a lot about Bath.
I have been to Austrian Roman ruins tho as well as Austrian 'hot springs' (AKA le giant tourist attraction called Aquapulco)
