I don't think anyone has ever been shot where I live, but then again they did called the armed police on a guy wielding a screwdriver.

But then again I only live on a island with abou 80-90K people on in, so not much happens.

Most robberies over here happen with gun imitations. (airsoft guns looking exactly like the real ones)
Stuff with real guns involved usually involves someone fetching the gun from a policeman.

PS: Short story:
Some guy I know used to own a security company.
Then he took a bullet to the knee.
The clotted blood caused him several apoplexies and heart attacks.
He is now the fattest man I´ve ever talked to.
