That's more or less the same as Norwegian animal names.
It'd weird how similar German and Norwegian are, it's like they're in the same language tree or something!

Thing is, I think in terms of linguistic evolution, they are about as far apart as they are with English.
However, I guess they both have a habit of naming new things in a similar manner.

@LJS I can only enforce ontopic within the limits of the subforum, and not at all in ML.

Make an appeal if you want to try and change that, you just need either Tau's executive decision or a majority vote to alter rules.
