America: where you have to wait until you're 21 to drink but where you can drive when you're 16 and probably use guns when you're strong enough to hold them.
I'm allowed to practice drive in two months time, though, as well as drive scooters, snowmobiles and tractors, but car driving will have to wait 2 years more.

Since I live the glorious state of North Carolina I can take drives ed when I'm 14 and 1/2 so yay for me.

Getting a drivers license here on base in Korea requires that I have a learners permit from the US. Guess what? I became eligible for a learners permit THE DAY BEFORE I LEFT, but the place where you get them was closed on Saturdays! WTF!
