e: Nope, I stand corrected. I think. Their page says they use a 'Source SDK' though they don't specify SFM, and since they specified they needed to record scenes with Fraps (when SFM has an inbuilt renderer/exporter) I don't think so.. The SDK is pretty much GMOD without any of the frills on its lonesome.

That's a gross understatement. I'm guessing he did a lot of it in the Hammer editor, where he could make all the maps and some of the props, as well as manipulate the characters like how Valve does things like Barney throwing you the crowbar at the beginning of HL2.

I have it. But no, would rather any animation be a cut above all the Minecraft stuff already on Youtube. It's absolutely dumb to resort to that when we have the resources to make something better.
